Bad mood

Hello all,
(12w1d here)
I recently downloaded the app because my parter said it will be better for my mood.
I’m felling quite stressed, no energy to talk a part from work. I’m not calling anymore to my friends or family, I do not even have patience or energy to reply their messages. It’s makes me feel bed about it, because I’m not like that.
Has anyone been through this?
❤️ thank you

I was recommended this app by a friend also in the trenches, I’ve really been struggling lately with body image/confidence and just general mood not wanting to leave the house. Being outdoors and walking has really helped me, I was feeling like I was constantly attached to my baby stuck indoors but being outside has given me a sense of freedom back, even running on 5 hours sleep some days I still find my moods better at the end of the day when partner gets home from work. You’re not alone 🤍

Growing a baby is absolutely exhausting! Your hormones will be wild, your body is changing before your very eyes and you have a huge life event that is looming. It’s completely normal to feel exhausted and stressed. Be kind to yourself.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. You're doing the most important job right now and your baby feels loved and taken care of. What you're experiencing is normal and give yourself time and space to figure out what your new normal looks like. Always here if you want to chat more ❤️

How about talking therapy? I do it n offload there. Also Samaritans listen. If it’s about ranting etc
I spare my friend n loved ones dat mood swings
I cry , I laugh I just b me . Also I do wit midwife later I feel relaxed n a bit open n less resistant to loved ones. It always there but not extreme to boycott interaction. I avoid talking n even forget how to be social
These services assist me to reflect too

Hello, I was going through the same situation of sadness and emptiness, I am trying to cope with it. I've been in this new country for 4 months, far from my family and without knowing the language, with a 2-month-old baby. It's very difficult, but going out for walks has helped me feel a little better. Hang in there, everything passes 🤍

How to cope, Emergency C section

months of prepping for a water birth and i ended up having to be induced then an emergency c section since baby boy decided he didn't want to come anymore😂 im only 16 days pp but since coming home i've been constantly up and moving about. i don't think i've processed how traumatic the birth was yet since my family and partner haven't really sympathised with what i went through at all

any tips or advice for coping ? should i even bother with talking therapies?

Failed sweep now cramping

I had an attempt at a sweep yesterday afternoon but my cervix was fully closed so midwife couldn’t perform it.

Since then I’ve been very crampy. Does cramping mean the cervix is softening?

Has anyone has a failed sweep that lead to cramping that turned into spontaneous labour?

UK Mums: Have you ever had your 38 week (or later) midwife appointment at a Children's Center?

Unfortunately my care pathway has changed as my midwife is going to be on vacation for the rest of my pregnancy (to be clear this does NOT bother me, well deserved). And sadly there are no midwife appointments available at my GP, so I have to go to a children's center. The only thing I'm worried about is privacy, as I have attended baby massage classes there and it's just a big open room and I don't remember there being any other private rooms there. I'm worried about how they will do any checks, measurements or even sweeps (if offered). Wondering if any other UK Mums had this happen?

Exhausted 😴

37 weeks today and I have zero energy.

I had 7 hours (broken) sleep last night and by 10:30am I could feel myself nodding off on the sofa.

Really struggling to entertain my 3.5 year old because I can barely keep my eyes open! Tell me I’m not the only one 🥱💤
