Announcing pregnancy

Been arguing with my husband all evening over this. 13 weeks pregnant with our 2nd and I’ve felt very anxious to announce it as I know reactions 2nd time around can be so different to the 1st. But having told my boss this week I felt like I was ready. Got some lovely photos of my 1st born today for an announcement photo ready to put up this weekend. Told my husband and he said not until end of next week when I’ve told my work. He is adamant he needs a private meeting with his boss to tell him before we announce, and that he needs to speak to HR. I don’t recall him doing this with our 1st and I don’t get why he thinks it’s important when for him nothing affects him until baby is born and he goes on paternity. I now feel like my little bubble has burst and I’m so disheartened, I don’t even want to announce it now. He knew I was telling my boss this week and that my plan was to announce it this weekend

Why does it make a difference to you if you announce this weekend or next weekend? I think him wanting to discuss it with work first is reasonable, might seem disrespectful for him not to have mentioned it and they find out via social media :)

This is strange to me, almost like there’s someone he wants to break the news to more gently before it’s outed? 🧐

hey friend!

Honestly just looking for a best friend 🫶 I’ve been having such a hard time making friends lately, and I just want someone I can talk to about literally anything, send random updates to, laugh with, and actually keep in touch with. Even if we’re long distance, I don’t care 😭 No forcing it, just a genuine friendship that’s consistent.

Am I in the wrong!!

My husband and I were about to have X. He had been scrolling through Xual content on Twitter, which made him horny, and then he wanted to penetrate me straight away.

There was hardly any cuddling, touching or foreplay, so I wasn’t aroused or wet enough. I asked him to wait so I could get some lubricant because I didn’t want penetration to hurt.

He immediately became angry, got dressed without saying much and told me, “Not even a hoe has ever done that.” As he was putting on his clothes, he also said, “Don’t worry, I have plenty of ways to sort myself out.” I’m not sure whether he meant watching sexual content, finding someone else or simply taking care of himself, but it felt like a threat intended to make me feel guilty.

This isn’t the first time this has happened. He often wants to penetrate me without cuddling, touching me or taking time to get me aroused first. When I try to have a conversation about it, he turns things around and blames me.

I give him most of what he wants sexually, but I don’t feel like I receive much pleasure, affection or effort in return. I understand that intimacy shouldn’t be transactional, but I also want my comfort and pleasure to matter. Sometimes I find myself craving affection and intimacy that I’m not receiving, even though my husband is right beside me.

I wasn’t rejecting him. I simply wasn’t physically ready for penetration and wanted to use lube so it would be comfortable.

AITAH for asking him to wait while I got lubricant? What do you think he meant by saying that he has other ways to sort himself out, and was his reaction reasonable?

PLS

I need a Stage 5 Clinger best friend. 🤠

Text me about your day. Spam me with memes. Tell me the random thought you had at 2:17 PM. Call me for no reason. Let's bully each other (lovingly), overshare, and have actual conversations instead of sending "lol" every 8 hours.

Where are y'all hiding? 😂

Horny when bf at work

I am so horny when my bf is at work. We have sex almost every night, but while he's at work, I'm just tingly almost the whole day 🙃

Intimacy during pregnancy, feeling lonely

Hiii girls, just wanted some advice....me and my partner have barely had sex through out our pregnancy and when we have, ive initiated it which is fine but the further along I get the more I feel bad about myself and it doesn't help when hes barely ever physically intimate even just like kissing or holding me. Today before work he seemed into it so whilst hes been at work ive sent some photos and messages so far all ive got back in response to the pictures was "you're pretty" and in the messages he keeps just responding "hell yeah" and I get the feeling hes uninterested and its putting me down. Anyone else in the same boat?
