My husband 😔

We have ants sooooo bad. They are in our pantry sooo bad. Eating up and getting into our food. I was upstairs with my toddler, came downstairs and into the kitchen to see him spraying highly toxic pesticides. These pesticides are so toxic. You’re supposed to wear a mask and gloves while spraying them. It’s also not an indoor pesticide it’s meant for outdoors because you’re not supposed to breathe it in. He was spraying it in our pantry with our food in the pantry. Our pantry is so full with hundreds of dollars worth of food in there. I don’t wanna throw it out, but I don’t wanna be unsafe. I have a toddler and I’m six months pregnant… should I throw the food out? I don’t know what to do. I chewed my husband out for it. He somehow doesn’t seem anything wrong with it.. I felt this was really out of character for him. He’s always really safe and really smart about things. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø what do I do? He only sprayed the ceiling and the top of the walls, but there is a top shelf a few inches down.

Is it overstepping that my daughter’s stepmother called her school asking if they offered field hockey?

Yes my daughter has interest in it but I’m finding out today that stepmom called the school asking if they offer it after school.

Is this overstepping?

Husband helping?

Quick question, how long after getting home from work does your husband/partner take over care of the baby? I’m usually waiting 45 mins to an hour and I feel like that’s ages….

Do you know of a good vacuum cleaner?

I can’t find one with good reviews. What do you like to use to vacuum the house?

Do you have any weird or "picky" food behaviours from childhood that you still do to this day?

Mine is that I used to make my mother strain the green bits out of ichiban instant ramen soup. I hated the feel and texture and everything about them. I still do it to this day (though I don't mind the flavour, so I let them soak in the broth, I just don't like them in the soup). Ironically I don't mind the kind in lipton's chicken noodle.

We often think of childhood food habits as something to grow out of, but honestly, how many of them actually matter if you're an adult? If you cut the crusts off of sandwiches for a dinner party and slice them into triangles, they become "fancy," whereas cutting the crusts off of a kid's sandwich is considered juvenile. How many food behaviours do we judge young kids for that don't actually matter in the end?

Do you have any weird childhood food-related quirks that you still do today? If so, what are they?

Buying things for baby due in November

I need advice
Soo this is my second baby and my partners first
However with my first born I did it all alone as they have different dads and brought everything by myself and went shopping by myself
But this time around I want to do it with my partner however I feel like it don’t want to and says why go shopping and do it together when we can order everything online
Kinda upsets me that he don’t really have a motivation to go out and experience it together and is just like look online and we can get it
Feel like crying sometimes because of it but grantee if one of his friends said let’s go out for the day and do something like shopping or something he will go but feel like he never wants to do stuff with me
He Always just laying in bed saying he got no motivation and that but soon as his pals message he get up and goes out
I’m worrying as still need to get loads of stuff for baby and don’t have long left

Family drama/disagreements

I’m sure it’s more common than anyone would like to admit. For anyone who has gone through a pregnancy and had family issues/drama, how did you cope? What boundaries did you end up creating? I have a difficult mother who tends to be judgmental about my choices, and she’s recently made my partner uncomfortable with the idea of her being around our babygirl without him being around. I respect that as he is my partner and honestly it would save me some stress too. At the end of the day, she is my mom and our daughter’s grandma though and I don’t want to burn a bridge if I don’t have to. You know? Any advice on how to navigate this?
