Help!

My almost 4 week old will not go down for a nap / at night. She falls asleep on us no issue and then soon as we transition her she lasts about 10 mins and then she’s awake. It’s the same during daytime naps and at night. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

This is completely normal, every baby is different! My sisters baby loved sleeping by himself, where as my baby had to sleep with us as he would wake up as soon as I put him down! But I promise it’s gets easier ❤️ try putting something that smells like you in her cot or where you would like her to sleep/nap, I used to use a pillow case. Also white noise is helpful. My baby is 1 now and he sleeps the whole night in he’s cot xx

It's normal cause she doesn't know anything about day time and night time. feed her properly, she might be hungry. If you are breastfeeding your milk is not strong enough to make her full.

It's completely normal, you are her whole world, for 9 months she was warm and cosy in a small space and could hear your heartbeat, to then go to an open space, alone and quiet is the opposite of all she's ever known.
My daughter was the same, at night we ended up co-sleeping, then when she was 10 weeks old she just started happily going down in the next2me cot.
Daytime naps are different, she still loves to sleep on us at almost 6 months old and normally wakes when/if we try and transition her but I know it won't be like this forever so I make the most of the cuddles.

Try not to compare your experience to others on here, its so easy to see others saying how they can put their baby down or how long they sleep for at night etc and think your baby should be doing the same, but every baby is different.

They grow so quickly, soak up all the newborn cuddles while you can!!

Totally normal, don't worry.

I found the book "How Babies Sleep: A Factful Guide to the First 365 Days and Nights" by Professor Ball, director of the Sleep & Sleep & Infancy Centre at Durham University very helpful.

Newborn sleep

Anyone else having trouble with getting their 5 week old to sleep? Shes up for 3-4hrs at a time once or twice a day. Through this period she’s almost going off multiple times but wakes herself up, I assume as she’s overtired. I try to get her down when I see tiredness cues but it’s not working. When she does fall asleep, I can’t put her down as she wakes up and we start the crying, constantly feeding, drifting off cycle again. She doesn’t go to sleep in the pram and the car is 50/50, I’ve also tried a baby wrap but again no luck. Even feeding isn’t a guarantee that she will drift off if she’s been up for a long time. My husband is back in the office next week so I will have my 3yr & baby on my own twice a week. I don’t know how to cope with them both when I’m tied to the sofa feeding or keeping my baby asleep. Any help or guidance would be really appreciated. Thank you

Naps?

My LO is 3 months old and she is sleeping through the night (9pm/10pm - 6am/7am)

However, health professionals are asking about her nap times. We dont monitor her naps at all, we just let her sleep when she wants too - is this right?

Just curious what others do?

Jolly Jumper

How serious is the 15 minute rule for the Jolly Jumper? I feel like she could jump for an hour and have the best time

4 month regression

Hey

My little girl who is now 5 months old is going through a sleep regression and I’ve noticed changes in her night sleep massively.

I just wondered whether anyone else is going through this right now and finding their little one is still waking up after 45 mins and needing you to rock them back to sleep?

She’s used to having a dummy and going into the cot drowsy but awake, so it’d as soon as her dummy falls out she wakes 😩 (this is during the day) but night time she’s waking up frequently for her dummy. I’m exhausted and feel there’s no end in sight! I never experienced this with my first born (a boy).

10 week old hands constantly in his mouth

My other child is autistic and now I’ve seen that this is a sign of autism too and I’m panicking.

He isn’t hungry either because he’s just been fed and he is constantly sucking his hands
