I think my relationship with my baby's dad is heading towards the gutter...
Ever since having my little boy I've been struggling with being physically involved with my partner, it's almost like the idea of it repulsives me?
I've never been a very romantic person, nor have I ever been very good at being intimate (due to abuse from a previous relationship).
Lately it feels like he's pressuring me into being intimate, and saying I don't love him because I can't do it. I've explained to him many times about how I'm feeling but it just doesn't seem to change anything. He even said he feels like we're just friends at this point.
He's aware of my past issues, and has no issues with that. I've had therapy for my past, but this seems different?
I don't know what I'm hoping for from this post, just feel like I need to air out how I'm feeling!
I've had a "breakdown" today, not that he found out. Just don't feel I have anyone to talk to about it

It like I am reading my own story I actually just recently ended it because it not fair on me or him or the kids involved sending you hugs only you can decide what to do but in case its a little different I have been raising 3 kids on my own my eldest has severe autism and non verbal so I did tell many times keep treating me like a single mum I will one day choose to be one , when I was going through thing he was never there so I think that led to impulsivity plus recently he accused me being lesbian with best friend so yeah

I’ve decided to stay and make it work the flame can be relit just be honest you need a spark or to end things

Not sure I can be much help in this but I feel the same way. Im not sure if it’s breastfeeding or feeling touched out and worn down, but sex and intimacy are not on my radar and my daughter is 10 months old now. I’m not going to force something I’m not ready for. I need my partner to step up and be understanding on an emotional level before I could even consider being intimate. I’m sorry your partner is reacting this way, best of luck with everything☺️ xx

Have you thought about re dating getting away from being mum and dad and being a couple again. Or counselling sometimes it's easier to talk and air things out there rather than at home

When did you have your baby? Are you breastfeeding? How old are you? It’s normal for your hormones to be out of whack for a while after having a baby, so it may be that you just need to give it time (in which case, your partner can help with that by, for example, taking the pressure off, giving you a break and doing a bit of choreplay). Or it could be something else (like, in my case, a seamless segue from postpartum into perimenopause - much fun!) If this is something that’s getting you down, go see your GP and have a chat. From your partner’s POV, it’s not nice to get knocked back repeatedly by the one you love and I can see why he feels hurt and rejected. But some guys just need to be patient too.
I am so surprised and so proud of this and I wanted to share somewhere and here seemed appropriate 🥹

My in laws are very involved in my child's life, its a lovely problem to have i guess but sometimes I feel like my MIL oversteps and takes firsts away from me. This weekend we've gone for our first family holiday with my 9 month old and they've come with us, we mentioned we wanted to buy a baby walker and she's gone off and bought one without asking or telling us first.
Her first time at the beach and she was there and strolled off with her before I got chance to. Our first time with her on the swings and she's just...there.
Same as giving her ice cream/foods/sweets whatever, she just gives it to her without asking. Idk if I'm overreacting or I feel like a bit pushed out. She's my daughter and I just wanted to do some firsts with her myself. Not sure if I'm being mean and should just get over it. How would you approach it?

I’m getting really close to saying f this relationship over money. I’m with my kids dad. We have two. He is extremely spoiled. I peeped that a long time ago. He does not like to pay bills. I make less than him but I still end up paying the majority of the bills. Like say rent for the month of August was $1100 (it’s going to be $1700 next month but we’re on a move in special that ended this month). The phone bill was due $220. I had to pay my car note car insurance and light bill. All of those were about $200 as well. This man sent me $500 which I’m only factoring into the household bills not my own bills for my car. On top of paying bills I always buy groceries. He never does. He might buy like snacks for the kids after school but no food to make meals. I feel like I’m being crushed financially and he’s getting to put money up!

Our cat, 14 years, is sick, he went to the vet 3 times last week and turns out he has pancreatitis. He doesn’t eat or drink.
The vet visits easily cost 1000 pounds. And we can’t really keep paying massive vet bills.
We have a 20 month old, and I’m 8 weeks pregnant. I just don’t have the mental capacity to deal with this. I want the the cat to live several more years, and our 20 month old loves him.
But with him just not eating and with vet bills I just feel like we should put him down.
We had 2 cats and put the previous down a month before our daughter was born, at that point he probably wouldn’t have lasted out the month anyway, and I felt we should have put him down earlier.
But our remaining cat isn’t as bad as our old one I just don’t want to deal with it, and I feel bad!
Am I horrible?

I’m booked in for an induction on Wednesday, my partner is superrr happy & excited whereas I’m more quiet because I’m nervous about what I’m going to have to go through. I explained to him that I’m actually not that scared about the pain (because either path we take is painful) I’m actually just more worried about spending 5+ days in the hospital being bored to death & being told there’s no progress. And he responded with “yeah but it’s fine, I can leave and get you stuff, I can get you clean clothes & food” (this wasn’t related to my worries at all) I replied back with “but I just wish I was the one who could go home & do some laundry, sleep in our own bed & see our dog”🥺he then responded with “no matter what I do for you, it’s not enough”. I feel like he’s just missed the entire point? I never said what he’s doing isn’t enough. I said I just wish I could be the one with the freedom & feel the excitement. Rather than having to stare at a hospital curtain for 120+ hours to be told you’re still not dilating🤣 I feel like he’s not being very understanding which is upsetting me more

This is going to sound awful. And please I do not want to be judged. Im feeling very overwhelmed the last couple of days. My partner has been working non stop (fine because the bills need paying) my 5 month old is very whiney. I put her down she whines, i pick her up she whines, rolls onto her tummy whines. And this is going to sound even worse and its as if im a bad mum. I do t know the difference between her tired or hungry cry, they sound the same to me. Its awful, I do everything i can and im feeling really stressed and low about it today. I know im a good mum I do everything to tey and keep her happy. Shes constant on the go, I dont know what else to do!! I just need to vent. Sorry and again please dont judge
