Maternity allowance

Hi all, can anyone tell me how long it usually takes for maternity allowance to be processed? I was on annual leave 17th July until 12th August then started maternity leave and the day of mat leave work sent a letter saying I wasn’t entitled to SMP (received it on the 18th) and I needed to apply for MA I have done this and sent off Matb1, wage slip and SMP1 form but with work only just giving me this notice I’m only getting 2 weeks pay this month to cover bills, school essentials (my eldest starting secondary) so this is getting costly.

I heard back just before 3 weeks

Mine took 3 weeks from when I received the text saying they got my claim and then got my first payment around 5 days after I got the 2nd message saying it had been accepted

It can take up to 4 weeks , I sent my form 3 weeks and 4 days ago and still waiting for a letter/decision

When did you submit your MatB1 to work? They should have notified you a lot earlier that you didnt qualify!!

It took just under 4 weeks for mine to come, then it was wrong when it came because of the national insurance contributions, saying I hadn’t paid them all when the date ends 12/9/26 so obviously I’ve not paid them all! Had to pay to finish the year that they needed me to which I did a week and a half ago and still not heard back yet about it being increase!

I got mine back after filing it about 3 weeks ago

Cheating

I found out my husband was cheating during pregnancy and postpartum. Now I don’t ask for sex, I avoid conversations about our relationship. I don’t give a fuck anymore. He says I’ve been rude and don’t care if he’s dead or alive.
What else can I do to make his life a living hell?

PPD

i’m 19 with a 9 month old girl who actually just turned 9 months today! i haven’t been back to work yet because i’ve been struggling extremely with postpartum depression, anxiety, and rage . i want to work to help my boyfriend out with finances but we also don’t have much people to watch her. i don’t know what to do. it’s hard to find a job, it’s hard to make money. but he’s extremely sweet with everything and the nicest person i’ve ever met. ANY ideas?

These four walls 😵‍💫

I’m so ready to start working again, partly because I’m struggling rn but I don’t think I could be a SAHM because I like to be able to not only get a break but also keep busy other than just taking care of baby GOD knows I love her so much, so I guess that’s a pro & con that I’m single mom I guess because currently I’ve been SAHM & surviving by the grace of god 😭 BUT IM SO READY TO GET OUT THIS HOUSE & PPD DONT make it any better.
