These are all of Greek/Latin Origin not Scottish.

If you wanted a Scottish name you'd be looking at things like Angus, Gregor, anything Gaelic/Celtic.

My son's name is Ronan which is celtic (Irish/Scottish)

However out of the 3 names you have put on the poll. Luca is the nicest xxx

2 placentas

I was told at my 32 week scan they found a second placenta. The first is anterior high. When I had my scan the sonographer said the second one was very low and posterior. She said it was wrapped around the bottom and completely covering the front.

The notes just say posteriorly so I’m a little confused. I spoke with the triage team who said to wait until my next scan where they will measure to see where it is and if it’s covering or close to the cervix I will need a c-section at 36 weeks.

My next scan I will be 36 +2 days so that won’t be helpful! I will go into the hospital tomorrow am for clarification but didn’t know if anyone else has experienced this and what to expect.

My mother in law is coming to stay with us when I would be 41 weeks and my partner has booked 2 weeks off work before she comes. Obviously times won’t work out now but will I be ok, home alone if he takes the first 2 weeks off and
I have no other help before mother in law comes?

Mamas

I need some advice.

My friend recently told me she was pregnant. About a week or two later, she called me really upset because she thought she might have had a miscarriage, as she'd started bleeding. She had a scan booked for two days later.

On the morning of the scan, I messaged her to ask if she'd had it yet and to wish her all the best. At that point she said she hadn't had the scan yet, so I told her I was praying for her.

I haven't heard anything since. I completely understand that it's private and none of my business, but I also can't stop thinking about her. I don't want to message again and make her feel like I'm prying.

Part of me thinks that if she wanted me to know the outcome, she would have told me already. But another part of me worries that she might just be struggling and not know what to say.

What would you do? Would you send another message just to check in, or would you wait until she tells you when she's ready?

Hubby said I should just leave it if she wanted me to know she would hv told me the outcome .

Post c section trauma??

Did anyone have a planned c-section but still feel traumatised after? All I see is people saying how calm & relaxed they felt but I was absolutely terrified. I couldn’t eat for 2 weeks after birth due to shock! I just want to know if anyone else feels the same as it’s a lonely feeling.

Is my daughter possibly telling a strange truth or just talking childhood nonsense

When I was 19 I had a miscarriage, I was only 5 weeks pregnant so very early on.
it’s not something many people know about, my mum knows as she was there with me while It happened and looked after me for the duration of it. 8 months later I fell pregnant with my daughter. She’s 4 now.

The other day my daughter and I are talking and she randomly goes ‘mummy I have a big sister’ I didn’t think anything of it at the time so I just said ‘oh do you darling’ she then goes ‘yeah I have a big sister and she protected me’. My mum was round at the time and we both looked at each other like ‘what’ ..
I then had a weird feeling I said to my daughter ‘how do you know that’ she just shrugged her shoulders and said ‘just do’ and then she walked off with her toys and never mentioned it again. At first I was so confused but then i thought about my miscarriage.

I can’t help but think does my daughter actually know something. I never found out the gender obviously as it was so early on but it is possible she could have had a big sister. Or is it her just talking random childhood rubbish, I mean we all know kids can come out the most bazaar nonsense sometimes . I don’t know really , what do you think. I just thought it was a strange thing for her to just come out with.
