Accountability/apologising/emotional manipulation

I guess I am not going incognito because if anyone wanted to reach out they could

Throughout my current relationship (4.5years) it has been made clear to me that i have a lot of unattractive and difficult traits. I guess prior to meeting my partner I just believed I was just how I was? I had never done "deep inner work" " spiritual work" "self improvement" i had done it professionally and i guess i had phases where physically i did better but ultimately I have been told and i do see a lot of it that i find it hard to say sorry, to take accountability, i feel constantly attacked and offended and any conflict does make me most of the time walk out or say i need space i find it so over whelming.

Im currently having my 3rd baby in 3.5years and my son (2yrs2mo) had a liver transplant when he was 7mo old so a lot of hospital time, also my partner had a long long history of drug addiction which he overcame but he has not worked 95% of our relationship, i did before my 1st and 2nd but not since my son was diagnosed at 7wks old.

Im asking for maybe someone somewhere for advice or a chat, i keep feeling like im a narcissist, a bad mom a bad partner, i feel like my family are better off without me sometimes YET i have always tried so so hard to keep our whole life together shielding my family from any outside shit and ive handled every prescription/appointment, i do 99% of the housework and cooking, im not in contact with family and i cut off all my old friends pretty much then moved 4hrs away so no social support

Is anyone hearing this?

Thanks fran x

You sound like superwoman, go easy on yourself, youre spinning a lot of plates at one time...sometimes something has got to give, youre only human

Let me ask you this-why do you feel you have a lot of unattractive traits? Is it something you feel about yourself? Or is it something that has been told to you…

Second question- what do you think of empathy?

It sounds like you have a lot in your plate and I would say (based on your post alone) less narcissist and more Co dependant. I'm always free if you'd like to chat.

(PS if you are worried about being a good mom/wife and wonder if you are a narcissist, you probably aren't)

Hey Fran, so sorry to hear this. It truly seems like you have a lot going on and you're managing so much all at the same time. You must be kinder to yourself and give yourself a break. Have you ever tried therapy? I am here if you want to talk.. More than happy to help.

How long did you rest?

How long did you rest after a straight forward vaginal birth?

(Asking for this birth as I know c-section/complications require a different level of recovery).

I’m interested to know how quick you returned to household chores and general ‘mumming’ following birth of baby.

I love the idea of the 5-5-5 (5 days in bed, 5 days on the bed, 5 days around the bed) for rest, but I’m curious to know if anyone actually stuck to this or something similar, or if guilt got in the way!

I’m not coping

My 5 week old seems so unhappy. I don’t understand whats wrong. She hates being put down. She sleeps fine for the first half of the night, after her night feed she spends the next 3 hours grunting and squirming. She will have a bottle then squirms and cries after it, but not always. I feel like i’m failing her.

Missing anything???

I made a checklist for baby and I think im almost there BUT wondering if there was anything you needed but didn't know until you needed it? This is my first so my list is pretty standard I think (obvious bits) .. any input would be appreciated 💕

Happier babies

When did your babies become happier ( if they were a fussy baby).
My baby just seems unhappy a lot of the time, if he’s not asleep or feeding he’s usually fussy and crying.
He has moments where he’s calm and engaging and it’s lovely but mainly he does just seem unhappy.
Does it get better? He’s 9 weeks old.
