Routine

So, my baby is now above birth weight. We’ve been told we do not need to wake her during the night, what’s everyone’s evening routine to make them sleep longer? Are we bathing every night? I know routine at this age some people don’t do it, but for myself I like routine. What’s everyone evening look like? Are we staying awake till 11pm for last feed? Baby sleep sack, are we bathing at what time?!

Personally, I take my baby up to get him ready for bed whenever I decide I’m tired and want to go to bed myself, so it looks different every night 😂 But the routine itself is simple: nappy change, get dressed for bed, swaddle, feed. We don’t bathe him every night, just personal preference.
I’m a second-time mum and I can say that routines at this age are pretty much impossible. My daughter woke every 2–3 hours and was SO hard to settle back to sleep in her next-to-me. My son, on the other hand, wakes every 3–4 hours, barely rouses when we change him, feeds and goes straight back to sleep. Every baby is sooo different!
Between stretches of sleep, we keep the lights low and voices quiet so we don’t wake him up too much, which makes it easier to get him back to sleep. During the day, we let him sleep in daylight to help set his circadian rhythm.

I only bathed both my babies like once a week unless there was a big mess and it was easier and even then i think on 1 occasion i showered with them to rinse downwards, their skin is so sensitive and i also wanted the vernix on them as long as possible x

I EBF both so tbh it was still 1-3hrs x

Help!

My baby is having her tongue tie procedure tomorrow (she’s 5 weeks). Due to her poor latch I switched to pumping but if all is sorted tomorrow I’d like to go back to exclusively breastfeeding. Has anyone gone back to breastfeeding smoothly or have any tips for the transition? I wouldn’t mind continuing to pump either as I have gotten into a routine. Any advice welcome.

Child self playing/ body awareness

Question how I should approach my 4.5 year old using the hot tub jets on himself. Ive had several conversations just how we dont do that etc but hes now like mom give me privacy so he can do it so I have to stay there and watch him which is just becoming like weird to me. I dont want him to feel shame but also dont know what I should allow. Do i stand there and watch that he doesnt do it, do i let him do it, do I go harsh and say when I see that you’re out? 🤷‍♀️

Any help appreciated!
