Has anyone applied for a passport for their newborn yet? How did you find the process? Did it arrive in reasonable time?

I got my newborn a passport a couple of years ago, it was super easy. I took the photo myself with her on the bed on a white sheet and the passport arrived really quickly. Apparently the passport office are really quite efficient now!

Mine came in a week and my son was born in July

I go my kids passports within a week of applying for them. Just waiting for my daughter to come out of neonatal to get her one too

Process is pretty simple as long as you get a decent photo.
No shadows. Fully white background. We laid our little one in his cot on a white and just took one of him laying there. You also need a referee for them with a job that's listed within their list. It worked and passport was here within a week.

You get an option on pages and we went for more as he will use it till he is far but pretty simple.
We got ours at 4 weeks old and he is a July baby 😁

What are your gender predictions. Obviously I know it’s too early to be certain but just curious of what you all think

Baby’s head size

Hi everyone, I’m a first time mum and at my 32 week growth scan, the head was measuring about 35 weeks. The overall estimated fetal weight is on the 70th percentile and abdomen on 50th percentile. I can’t stop worrying about the big head size and thinking I won’t be able to give birth if it’s that big. Has anyone had any experience of this? Could it even out at my next growth scan?

Would you compare 9/11 to the tragedy of the Titanic?

I seem to have an unpopular opinion. or maybe I'm just biased because I experienced it.

Reduced movements

I feel like ive only felt my son move maybe two or three times today i know if i call triage then they’ll ask me to come in now but i literally have no one to have my daughter and it isnt like i can exactly take her there with me

Birth options for baby number 2

I had a baby in January last year, and had an elective cesarean (as he was measuring big and they didnt want me to go too far past my due date, and I decline induction as my body wasnt showing any signs of being ready for labour). My experience was very calm and my recovery was very good so it was really positive.

Fast forward to now, and Im pregnant with my second, due in November, when my eldest will be 22 months. My midwife is starting to talk to me about birth preferences. She said I can have either a cesarean again or vaginal delivery. There are currently no other factors at play to mean medically Id be better off with one or the other, so assuming everything continues to progress as it has so far, its up to me.

What was everyone's experience second time round? Im so torn on what to go for. Having another elective is appealing having a little one at home as it means I can have some control over the date a childcare.. but then Im also worried about having another cesarean and not being able to do as much with my eldest in the earlier days whilst Im recovering, and I'm conscious of trying to make the transition for him welcoming his new sister as smooth as I can.

Im very lucky to have a very supportive and handson husband who will be having 5-6 weeks off work, and plenty of family near by to help where needed.
