We were together for just a year before I decided he wasn't for me. He yelled at my own child to the point where she was screaming crying in fear and I knew from that moment that we couldn't be a family sadly. I don't leave right away and that's on me but I did leave. Only I left and found out i was pregnant. I'm 27 weeks on Friday and I've seen him a few times since for sex and my anatomy scan and he wants to be involved but we obviously can't be together and I worry about how things will go when the baby comes. Please don't judge me but I don't feel strong enough to do this completely alone. I can't make him go away and not that I want him to not know his son but I can't deal with him yelling at my baby the way he yelled at my daughter and his own kids. I just don't know what to do. We haven't talked about any plans and I just know it will be on me to establish really firm boundaries and postpartum will be hard enough idk what to do

Can’t you try talking to him about his approach to parenting/disciplining the kids? Is this a repetitive problem or was it a one time occurrence? Also… how many children does he have with how many baby mamas?
While it’s ok to have boundaries and discussions about how you’ll be jointly raising this child, it’s probably not right to try to exclude him from his child’s life. Your child needs his or her father…

Do not put that man’s name on a birth certificate! You need to also document all the times he has abused his kids that you witnessed and your kid. You absolutely can do this on your own! You have to! Or your baby is gonna have to be tied to an abuser!

This may be harsh but I wouldn’t be having that baby. I say that because I have no desire to be a single mother, obviously life happens and that could still be a possibility for me but I would never willingly walk into that situation and I don’t understand how anyone in this situation wouldn’t be a single mother because no way in hell would I let someone who is abusive around my kids.

I would ask him to see a family therapist with me. Or do research and send him short videos… there are a ton on YouTube. See if he will go to anger management.

Am not saying this to be mean, but maybe u should talk to people kids who grow up with such parents and have said they would have preferred being raised by a single parent. As the kids get older they will questions so much and will result in consequences of thier wellbeing as they grow older. Think of them, think what it will do in the long run, to them. I know your scared, but would u rather have them live in fear, terror and questions if they are loved.

I’m in agreement with what everyone else has said, I’d be avoiding him, not putting his name on the birth certificate and take my chances with court if that’s what it came to. I’m in the UK, so I don’t know what it’s like in the US, but there’s no way I’d have a child around someone who is verbally abusive and unapologetic about such an approach. If I was forced to allow access, it’d be supervised until I was forced to do it differently, and I’d be documenting everything with a view of capturing enough evidence to prove he’s not an appropriate person for a child to be around.
Sorry you’re going through this. This would be my worst nightmare and would give me such bad anxiety, so I feel for you.

Agian am saying this to not be mean, but the reality is there seems to be no way for this to work out. Am so sorry

You need to seek therapy, ensure he isn't around your other kid/s and document everything for the courts as it may assist with custody etc
Don't put him on the birth certificate because if you are in the US, from my understanding he doesn't have rights if he isn't on it.
Consult a lawyer BEFORE bubba is born to sort out your rights and what you can and can't legally do. Consider a restraining order.
Then block him everywhere except a specific app for co parenting. Do NOT talk to him about anything other than his kid.
My day 3 milk has just come in and im finding the engorgement and nipple pain unbearable. Im really keen to persevere with exclusive breastfeeding. Any recommendations for the pain?

Question how I should approach my 4.5 year old using the hot tub jets on himself. Ive had several conversations just how we dont do that etc but hes now like mom give me privacy so he can do it so I have to stay there and watch him which is just becoming like weird to me. I dont want him to feel shame but also dont know what I should allow. Do i stand there and watch that he doesnt do it, do i let him do it, do I go harsh and say when I see that you’re out? 🤷♀️
Any help appreciated!

Does anyone else’s LO not wee during the night?
My LG has a bedtime bottle and wakes sometimes once or twice for some water in the night but when she wakes her nappy is completely dry so I don’t change her. However, when she wakes in the morning, she’s weeing and leaking through because there’s so much.
