Me and the father of my 2 children decided to separate yesterday. I am so hurt but mostly I’m hurting for my kids not having a family anymore. My sons are 5 and 1. My first born is in kindergarten and I don’t know how I should break it to him that daddy isn’t going to be living with us anymore. I’m so scared he’ll be acting out or emotionally damaged he’s the type of kid who pours it into himself. This is honestly the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with mentally and it makes it so much more difficult having kids. Has anyone gone through this I’m so lost I’m so heartbroken i haven’t told anyone.

The hardest part for me was when my daughter would ask if it was her fault. Or if daddy didn't want her any more. The only thing I can say is he as honest as you can be ( age appropriate) and just hug them love them very with them if needed.

I have just been through that.. I totally understand all the feelings and the shock you're probaby gping throught right now. In my case, I just took it day by day. I didn't give the kids any speech or explain anything other than "papa is not gping to be home tonight". If they ask why, you tell them something simple, that they can understand, like "sometimes we need some space, so that we can be a better mommy and daddy".
Don't need to explain them anything more right now. Don't need to explain anyone else anything, really. You're currently taking somw time apart right now. You don't know what's going to look in a week or a month.
I literally just texted who I wanted to know that we were currently separated and that whenever I was going to be ready to talk about it I would.
I know it feels almost like a death right now. Like your life just blew up. But I'm 12 weeks ahead of you and I promise you, not only you're going to be happy again, but you will THRIVE.

Also, please follow Jen Hamilton. She and her husband just split more or less around the same time I did. Her videos helped me so much!
I’m planning on leaving him Friday with my baby please I need advice on who can help me secure food etc for my child until I’m back in my feet again and don’t have to r return home

At what age did you let your little one have crayons / activity books you get when at a meal at a restaurant?

Hey there, I’m a mom of one to a now six month old and I’m 22 if that means anything.
I recently was talking to my husband about the early stages of when we first brought our baby home and just about how we truly dealt with it. My husband stayed home for two weeks since that’s all his job gave him and then left for work, being gone 14 hours a day, 6 days a week every other week. We have no family or friends around us so I was basically figuring out a newborn by myself which isn’t my husband’s fault at all. I was going through a lot with just delivering a baby, my mental state and all around the changes to my body. I had always been around 98lbs and I had gotten all the way to 155lbs at the end of my pregnancy, dropping down to 130lbs postpartum and my body image wasn’t great. He would come home and ask if I was okay or how my day was and I’d just cry. I was overwhelmed, in pain, and running on almost no sleep.
I asked my husband if he had been worried about me with our baby and he answered truthfully saying yes. I asked if he thought I would harm our son and he told me no, but he was worried that I would leave him in his bassinet when he was crying and walk away, not tending to him at all because of how horrible I was feeling. Our baby did cry A LOT in the beginning and he was nervous that I would get overwhelmed and leave him by himself for hours. He told me that he knew that was unlikely and preceded to praise me for how good of a mom I was and thanking me for keeping our baby healthy and happy even when I wasn’t.
I’ve been dwelling on it since we spoke, feeling horrible that I made him think that way. I never once did that, I would cry and hold him, think about what my life would of been if I hadn’t become a mom and spend hours watching him, scared at any moment he could just stop breathing. It was a rollercoaster I never wanna ride again.
How do I get this out of my head? Why do I feel so horrible even though I know I never did what he was worried about and never would do it? Sorry if this was long and kinda… well pointless, I’m just struggling with it.

Hey, so I’m taking my 10 month old to Tenerife next week (my first abroad holiday with her), and was just wondering what essentials I need, how did people deal with washing bottles and sterilising, what water to use, do I take a car seat? The hotel states they will supply the travel cot, but do I just take my own instead or will the one there be okay. Any help/advice would be great☺️

My little love has started wanting more and more milk like 200ml was his last feed and still wanting more, he will chew on my finger and his gums look a bit red. Could he be teething this early?

I told him he couldn’t eat cat food
I took his toy vacuum away after he shoved a cheese stick inside it
Wouldn’t let him throw away the poopy diaper that he had
And my favorite 🤦🏻♀️I wouldn’t let him eat the chips he hide between the couch cushions yesterday.
What has anyone else done today that was so uncomfortable 😂
