Anterior placenta and tightenings of stomach

Hi, I’m 21 weeks today🩵. Does anyone else who has an anterior placenta feel like they are constantly questioning whether something was a kick? He was kicking me pretty consistently for 4 weeks very low down but recently settled down the last week or two. It’s so so hard because I’ve had my 20 week scan and everything has been perfect so far but waiting to feel his next kick just feels like forever. I had a really strong one from him on the right side yesterday when lying in bed but he’s been pretty quiet again today. It is like torture and does not help my anxiety having an anterior placenta. I don’t know if it’s because he’s moved up slightly and is now kicking my placenta hence why I can’t feel him but would be great to get some advice x

Also having pretty consistent stomach tightenings most days on and off. I know this can be normal but at what point do I need to seek help for it?

I would say speak to your maternity triage team and just get them to check everything is ok

21 weeks with an anterior placenta, apparently it is quite high and I have had a lot of kicking but all very low down and he does go quiet for a day or two so guessing he’s shifted up at those times.
I’m with you on the anxiety it causes when you don’t feel much or anything at all. Thankfully I have been able to feel him rolling or stretching even if I can’t feel kicks, the rolls are my least favourite movement 🙈😂 kicks are my favourite which is typical.
As I understand it as he gets bigger and my uterus grows I might feel him less and less depending on where he is or which way he’s facing in relation to the placenta. All I can do is wait and see, but I really hope that’s not the case 🤞🏼

Accidentally ate Brie!

Hi everyone!
I'm about 8-9 weeks pregnant, and have just eaten a Brie, bacon and chilli chutney sandwich from Sainsburys, and I completely forgot until I finished eating it and looked on the packaging where it says "expectant mothers should avoid eating this cheese" 😩
Will I (and 👶🏻) be okay??
Anyone else had the same experience and everything's been absolutely fine?

Labour hair care

What do you reckon midwives really think about nether hair care for labour? I usually shave but it's getting extremely difficult now and I'm getting a lot of rash and ingrown hairs. I'm tempted to just leave it be but do you think midwives judge just a little?

Sorry if this post is tmi! Third trimester worries and who else can I ask!

This is my third and I don't recall struggling this much the first two times.

Prenatal anxiety

Hello, I'm 31 weeks pregnant and my anxiety is alot at the moment. I've always suffered with anxiety but haven't taken medication, besides the occasional beta blocker for stressful work events or my driving test. My anxiety is mostly about when the baby is here, will I be anxious driving? Will I fall when holding baby? Will I feel anxiety everyday holding baby. Did anyone have bad anxiety during pregnancy? And then were you okay when baby was here? I can't let myself be excited about the baby being here, as I only think negatively. I'm also 40 and think if I was pregnant when I was younger I would be less anxious. I am waiting to be referred to a therapist, but it's taking sometime.
