Night away? Guilting myself to feel like a bad mom for being away with dad

Hi moms - need some advice. Me and partner are in desperate need to have just the one night together.

We love our daughter so dearly we don’t want to leave her, but obviously after one year of not sleeping together only us in the same bed we miss each other a lot. Even our wedding night we shared a bed with her as she was so young - so no wedding sex 🤣

We sleep with her and she is our everything. But we are also a couple, and we both see and feel the need for just us time.

Just everytime I think about the thought of leaving her for the night (with grandparents who know her so well), I feel guilty! How did you handle the situation of night away from your baby? Like, without thinking about them the entire time!

Haven’t spent a night away since he came home from hospital… he’s 21 months. We have found time for intimacy usually once he falls asleep.

How old is she? I think you are very normal…

We didn’t have a child when we got married, but still no Wedding Sex hahah

Does it have to be a Night?
I value much more the days with my Partner. Find a middle ground

I honestly think that mum guilt will always be there it’s just within us but I was so surprised how much we enjoyed ourselves when we went out for dinner and my mum looked after my little girl. She’s 4 months and my mum had her from 5-11 the other evening. Of course you miss them and can’t wait to get back to them but you feel like a better mum when you return as you feel refreshed. My mum is having her for the night in a few weeks as we are going to a wedding and because she did the evening with her she knows her bedtime routine and managed to get her down. Fills me with more confidence leaving her knowing my mum knows exactly what to do and baby was happy when we returned.

I try to remind myself it’s good for everyone involved. Good for you and your partner to have some you time, good for grandparents to have the opportunity and understand what’s involved and good for baby to be happy with someone else (I always think it’s worth doing incase an emergency where you can’t be there)🩷

Fresh ideas needed!

I am needing new ideas for snacks and meals for my 18 month old. He's typically a pretty good eater but we struggle getting him to eat protein. Looking for some healthy high protein/ high fat ideas that might not end up on the floor 😆.
No allergies and the only things he really refuses are eggs, and any kind of unground meat.

Marriage help!

Me and my husband are hitting a rough patch rn. He says it feels like I don’t love him. I do though but our lives just feel so different rn. My son just turned 2 and I feel like we’ve been focused on him. We don’t really have sex too much sometimes it’s just quick in the morning or night but not that good kind that lasts long. How can I make him feel special besides the sexual part like what are you guys doing daily for your husbands that make them feel good?? I also know I have to better my self to better my relationship because I have the same routine everyday and I’m cleaning 24/7 I just am tired or maybe even bored. I need any advice rn

12 month jabs

Hi looking for some mum advice!

My little boy has his 12 month jab today and my husband is on annual leave for the next two weeks and wants to book a holiday for us to go away.

I’m nervous anyway as will be first abroad holiday but now hearing stories about the side effects of the jabs and wondering whether the timing is awful for my little boy.

Would you go on holiday (Spain most likely) in the days after the 1 year jabs or is that just asking for trouble?

Am I a bad mom?

My husband and I are going on a cruise this weekend. I saw that my son was potentially unable to go because we couldn't get his passport on time. I got excited. SO excited. I love my son more than life itself.. but a 4 day vacation without him felt like paradise...

Until my cousin told my husband that we could just use his birth certificate. I was so pissed and frustrated. This vacation is costing us $2000+. I wanted to be able to enjoy it. Now I feel ungrateful and a bad mom knowing he'll be coming. He's 4.. and severely hyperactive. I won't enjoy myself at all. Literally all I'm looking forward to now is the unlimited liquor 😂😅.

I'm also an introvert. I'm going with my family. *Heavily extroverted people*

I hate myself for wishing he wouldn't be there.. am I alone on this?

How do you stay?

I have been with my husband for 17 years (middle school sweethearts) we have 2 kids and really only have each other (no family near by) . I recently had a gut feeling and checked his phone and found out that he was seeing a 22 year old co-worker of his while I was pregnant. (8 weeks ppt now)They went on face to face dates and one message where he said I love you. He swares he ended it before it became physical but I’m absolutely devastated. He is my best friend and honestly the best dad and husband so this was an absolute shock. I don’t want to tear apart our family, loose my best friend and partner over this so I have decided to stay and have been loosing my mind loving him then hating him and going crazy with the what ifs. Has anyone given their partner a second chance after infidelity? How do I get past this?
