If u take ur kids to build a bear for your 3 yr olds birthday are you getting your other kid an stuffed animal too?

We went last year for my daughters bday and my ex said it’s not our sons birthday bday so he’s not getting one plus we didn’t have the money to get him one too but I still felt bad, this year we figured build a bear was a good place to meet but I’m wondering if my son shows interest do I get him one too? He’s 4 non verbal for context.

This is off topic but I noticed you mention your 4yo is nonverbal. If you haven’t already I would look In to trying heavy metal and parasite detoxes ! There have been a lot of cases where heavy metal detoxing helps non verbal kids speak because they have so much heavy metals built up in the fluid around their brain!

I wouldn’t take my kids to build a bear and not get them one. Even if it wasn’t their birthday. I would just plan to take the birthday child to the build a bear alone.

If I had more than one child I would make sure the other doesn’t feel left out, but also make the birthday child feel extra special, so the non-birthday kid gets a little something too just maybe without all the bells and whistles as what the birthday kid gets.

The closest build-a-bear to us is about 4 hour drive away, so both kids would absolutely be getting one. But I'd make sure the day was extra special for birthday kiddo. If we still had one in town, Id only get one for birthday kid, and the other kiddo can get one on their birthday.

When we went for both my daughter’s bday, we let the non birthday girl pick one of the small stuff animals there or the mystery box things. They were like 10$. That way they still got something to celebrate but the birthday girl still got special things.

Its tough, though I'd probably make it a birthday thing and take him to get one for his birthday.... Or take her alone if he only seems interested when he's actually there and enjoys other things more for his birthday....

I'm not sure how him being nonverbal would be relevant, but I'd try keep it fair, while allowing them to see you get special things on your birthday for each of them.

Leaving two year old to go away

My husband and I (my daughters dad) got married a few weeks ago. We’ve booked a honeymoon next month. We’re only going away for 4 nights because I didn’t want to leave our daughter.
She’s 2yo (+ 3 months) and she will be staying with my parents who are INCREDIBLE, very hands-on with her. She is with them two days a week while I work so she sees them a lot & adores them, and they her. I trust them fully. I just feel so guilty.
I’ve happily revolved my life around her. I work in a school, 9am - 3pm, 3 days a week and have school holidays. So I spend a lot of time with her
I’ve had two mums tell me they could never leave their child like this
Am I doing the wrong thing?

No village

I don’t have a village as much as other people might , a couple friends a couple family members , although grateful, I sometimes feel bad and plan to socialise when my baby comes so I can self make her a village of my own! I can’t get over how bad I feel though and just wanted to know if anyone else relates

It gets hard to do it alone pregnant , and I’m scared to do it alone when she’s here

Texting bestie

Hiiii
My husband is on the other side of the country for a few weeks & I’m home alone with our newborn. I recently moved hours away from all of my friends and family so outside of my little girl I’m pretty much alone. I’d love some people to talk to while I navigate this transition! Bonus points if you also have a LO that keeps you up all night 😅
