Having a period or not while breastfeeding

is it normal to bleed after 4 months not quite sure if this is a period i was told while still breastfeeding i wouldn’t get it for a while

You can get a period while still breastfeeding. Lactation amenorrhea is about 97% effective, but only under very specific conditions. You have to be exclusively breastfeeding, nothing else, not even pumping; you have to be feeding every 4 hours minimum during the day and 6 hours at night, and it's only valid under 6 months postpartum. Even then it's not foolproof, so there is no guarantee you can't get your period back.

i am doing all that she’s is exclusively breast-feeding I don’t pump and she actually eats every 2 to 3 hours no longer than four hours. She goes without eating i just started bleeding a little bit yesterday and she’s only four months so I’m just making sure it’s a period and not something else that I potentially should get checked out given I had a C-section

Yeah it can still happen even if you follow LAM consistently. But lochia can also last a few months. If you're not having excess pain or consistent bleeding over more than a few days, or enough to soak a pad within 2 hours, it's likely nothing to worry about.

I breast feed & pump so she gets both boob and bottles. She’s 23 weeks & I haven’t spotted or bled. My friend bled every month during her 4 pregnancies & continued like normal after birth.

I’m 8.5 months pp no period. I breastfeed when I’m home and pump while I’m at work. We have started adding in regular meals for him but it hasn’t lessened breastfeeding.

You can definitely get one while breastfeeding. I got mine while breastfeeding and on the pill lol

Poo’s

So my LG was diagnosed on 5th August with rotavirus and today we are still experiencing similar poos to what she was having when they said she had this? Does this poo look normal as she is a formula fed baby on apatamil pepti 1. Just I’ve been back and forth to docs and wanted to see if anyone else babies are having poos like this before a ring up again 🤦🏻‍♀️ this is her 2nd explosion of the day

Water for 5 week old

I took my 5 week old son to the GP because his poo turned green (after being yellow for some weeks) and he started to strain a lot more which was waking him up. Doctor said since he is pooing 6 times a day sometimes more (exclusively breastfed), he might be dehydrated so to give him a tea spoon of water after each feed. He is having 6+ wet nappies a day so i don’t believe he is dehydrated and was told at the hospital that breastfed babies can poo after each feed and it’s normal. Has anyone else had similar advice before because i know water could be dangerous at this age.

Breastfeeding and sleeping through the night

I really want to give breastfeeding more of a go this second time round. However, I feel like I come across more stories of breastfed babies that don’t sleep through the night or that struggle to ever take a bottle. My formula fed baby slept through from about 3 months, and while I’m not expecting that luck again, I am nervous about no sleep with a toddler to look after too. Does anyone have any tips/ or positive stories about breastfed and sleeping through?

At what age did you stop using bottles for milk?
I have a 15 month old and we went to get 15 month old appointment yesterday and her doctor told us that she wants us to stop giving her milk in her bottle at night?

Can a 4 years old have badness inside/be a bad person already?

My friends daughter is only 4 but is really cruel. Always has to make someone feel bad or less, forcing them to give her what they have, excluding them, she is always so serious even with adults like she hates everyone and everything and only smiles if she is doing something bad. She makes her friends beg for food for instance and when my daughter runs excited to see her she looks at her with disgust and walks away (even if she later tries to find her) another small thing she tries to get my attention copying things that my daughter just done like asking me to wash her hands (I think is a competition with my little one) and she has 0 respect for other adults. For instance her mum asked me to help her as she was in a dangerous bit of the playpark and her mum was feeding the baby. She said in a very rude way: go and sit with my mum over there. I'm pulling my daughter away from her just now because I know my daughter loves her but also causes her stress as when they are together my daughter has episodes she wouldn't have afterwards. Opinions please
