My daughter is going through the terrible twos now… we thought she was when she was turning 1 but now it’s really REALLY hitting!!! She’s throwing herself on the floor when she gets told no or we try to redirect her, we’re at a loss on what to do. Redirecting doesn’t work rn because she’ll just throw herself down, what other things can we do to help this girl through her emotions but also not having her do dangerous things like playing with cords, outlets, doors, and whatever else!! Yes we keep cords up but she’ll still find the ones we have hidden but need pulled in, we keep outlets covered unless we forget to put the covers back on, but we can do anything about doors.. she knows how to open the closet door and the sliding bathroom door doesn’t have a latch to keep closed and can’t keep it closed because it latches on the inside!!! Please help, all and any tips are welcome besides the redirecting one😅 like I said it doesn’t work😭

We can’t* do anything about the doors. The bathroom sliding door, we can’t keep open because there is no latch for that, the latch is inside the bathroom so we can’t keep it latched closed.

Sometimes they just have to feel those feelings. I'll leave a child screaming on the floor if I've offered solutions or explained what they're doing is unsafe. She can understand, she just doesn't like it. Which is fine.

It's hard but this is all really normal and even good (for a lack of a better word) developmentally. There are wonderful toys out there you can get that will help with that curiosity of wanting to open and close things, pull things in and out. This is just a season. Lots of fun stuff comes with it too. Doesn't have to be terrible.

It’s really hard some days but there’s still good days love :) my daughter is the same way sometimes right now, it didn’t hit her until about two or three months ago haha but it gets easier
I’m posting incognito because in fear of being judged for this. Yall we are struggling so hard right now financially. I fear we can’t get help with job and family services because we make too much but our debt is consuming us in every way. I’ve been depressed so I haven’t been able to stay on top of the bills and my husband doesn’t have the password because I don’t want him to stress about it so I’ve just been taking care of it by self because Christmas last year was spent in the hospital because my husband was too stressed out and he’s been freaking out over our finances right now any ways so I don’t want to add to that.
The main issue is the Phone bill - our service was suspended because I made a promise to pay but it didn’t go through in our bank. $227 is what’s past due right now and that’s what got us. I can make an arrangement hopefully after it’s caught up for the payment that’s due on the 4th. My baby is home alone with my in-laws and they have no way to reach out if something happens now

So, we’re not sure what to do in this situation because my 3 year old SD just got dropped off to us and while getting her ready for bed her father had to wipe her legs down as she had pen all over her legs and he noticed that her bits had quite a lot of white build up so my partner called me over and asked me for my opinion but we’re not sure what to do with the information.
Her father doesn’t know what to do as he feels her bio mum should know but Her bio mum can get very confrontational and agitated very quickly and he doesn’t know how to approach it or if he should?
I know it’s normal for a toddler to get it but a very small amount and looking at it it wasn’t a small amount it was a thick clump going down both sides and over the hood. So it wasn’t/couldn’t be a build up of that volume from her last bath 2 days ago on Wednesday
We have cleared it extremely gently with a warm soft wash cloth which is safe to do, but we don’t know what to do next in terms of on the adult side of things?

How do I leave my husband as a sahm? I have no family near me so I really have no support. No job or money. I have nothing. I’m so unhappy in my marriage. I communicate my feelings and nothing ever changes. Any advice or tips on how to get out of this?

My husband says we should teach him to pee standing up, but he's gotten so used to peeing sitting down idk how to even try it standing.
I once tried to help him do an emergency pee outside 🫣 and it didn't end well.
Is it worth teaching him now (he's newly 3) or is it something that bigger kids will just kinda learn as they go?

Do you say thank you when he does something that you think he should’ve just done but you had to ask him to do? Lately I’ve been trying to be kinder about the way I communicate to my husband and a big thing has been me just trying to ask him to do things instead of being upset and snapping about having to do them or just telling him to do it. I feel torn because I don’t get thanked for doing everything else, but I know he likes the acknowledgment and it makes me seem nicer in his eyes but I also feel like I’m parenting him too when I have to ask him to do things and even tho I am thankful he did it, I don’t want to have to ask. He’s the type of guy that wants me to just make him a list of things to do but I just feel like he’s acting like a child when I do. I don’t want to micro manage him but I think that’s what he wants, even tho he wants to do everything on his schedule, I have to still tell him what to do. Part of me feels like I’m enabling bad habits but is this common in relationships? Newly married and new parents so we are still figuring out things together.
