What can I do to resolve this?

My partner has had a personaility change in the last couple of months, argumentative, snappy and short, moody, angry and he also is falling to sleep quick even after a full night sleep and this can be soon after and instant. He also gets bad headaches and now he keeps saying things have happened that havent and genuinely starts an argument over it m its all silly little things but its so much its so annoying. Equally anything we have a conversation about he plays dumb like it never happened... what is going on here ?

Could drug use be a possibility? The people I know who changed like this had been sliding into addiction without anyone realising. The other thing I’d be worried about is something neurological going on x

Dedinitely not drugs but definitely something x

My ex was like this, it was ketamine 🥰
My friends boyfriend suddenly got like that too, he was secretly taking steroids🫠
But if it’s definitely not something like that, I’d have him to see a doctor

Has he had any accidents or head trauma lately?

Avatar

Sounds like drugs

Avatar

He is a simple person with a simple life. Definitely not into drugs and doesnt drink or anything either. He looks like he has genuinely had outbursts of getting confused and then gets upset

Avatar

why is it definitely not drugs?

He needs to go to his GP/doctor, whatever the issue is though he has to seek help/support.

You can't help someone that doesn't want help, so make sure you don't burn yourself out trying to solve this if he doesn't want it solved.

Avatar

What environment does he work in? It could be something connected to any possible fumes or chemicals being inhaled or absorbed changing his brain chemistry

Avatar

Get his bloods checked.

Avatar

I don't what to think worst case scenario but I've heard multiple stories about personality changes coming from brain tumors. Its possible hes having a health issue. Is he in denial that anything is different? Is he willing to try and find out the root cause of this change?

Avatar

definitely take him to see a doctor (if he agrees), this does sound concerning. whether it could me physical, mental health? x

Circumvent the GP who will do nothing and book an appointment with a neurologist.

Avatar

I'll echo what a few people have already said, sounds like he needs a GP review and possibly a head scan for neurology referral. I hope whatever is can be easily remedied. All the best!

Am I overreacting to this ?

Me and my partner are in the process of buying our first home. We have only viewed the property once at the start of our journey when we were viewing multiple properties at a time. Now we are official in the buying process and are quite close to the end, our survey report listed a few problems and advised us to get inspections done and view the pretty again before we finalise the purchase (this was only yesterday we received the results, I made an entire list of things we need to raise with the solicitor and things to look into but my partner didn’t even read it yet) .

I received an email just now from the estate agent confirming a viewing booking for us of the property, my partner has booked another viewing for next week without mentioning to me. He is now telling me he is going with a specialist contractor to view and that I can’t go. It’s not a question, he is telling me I’m not going.

I have said I want to go, because I would like to view the property again (all things considered like redecorating etc it’s helpful to view again know we are actually buying this one). I’ve told him I won’t disturb him with the contractor and that I’ll do my own thing but he’s adamantly told me I am not coming.

I can’t understand why he has a problem with me coming. He is telling me that if I want to view it then he will book a 3rd viewing for us to go, but I have said what’s the point of doing that when I can just go along to the viewing next week when he’s already going there??

Even when I asked who the contractor is he didn’t give me a real answer, he told me ‘some guy’ and I asked the name and he still didn’t give me an answer and just laughed and said ‘do you think it’s a woman?’

Need some help financially but idk what else to do 😭

I’m posting incognito because in fear of being judged for this. Yall we are struggling so hard right now financially. I fear we can’t get help with job and family services because we make too much but our debt is consuming us in every way. I’ve been depressed so I haven’t been able to stay on top of the bills and my husband doesn’t have the password because I don’t want him to stress about it so I’ve just been taking care of it by self because Christmas last year was spent in the hospital because my husband was too stressed out and he’s been freaking out over our finances right now any ways so I don’t want to add to that.

The main issue is the Phone bill - our service was suspended because I made a promise to pay but it didn’t go through in our bank. $227 is what’s past due right now and that’s what got us. I can make an arrangement hopefully after it’s caught up for the payment that’s due on the 4th. My baby is home alone with my in-laws and they have no way to reach out if something happens now

Teething?

Not the most clear picture but is this the start of teething? 19 weeks old tomorrow has been more grizzly than usual recently and putting fingers in her mouth a lot instead of just fits. She’s also been pulling her ear occasionally

Husband probs.

My husband loves to argue with our 5 year old son. He called him a big baby because he likes to sleep in our room and not in his own bed. He constantly treats our son like shit bc our son is “mean” well he’s not gonna change unless he changes but he thinks it’s the opposite way around. Childish or no??

Overthinking

Any one else feel like sometimes their child is happier to see their dad? I was off on maternity leave for 5 months and my husband worked 7-7 . So I thought sometimes my son was so happy to see my husband because he rarely got to see him, compared to he sees me every waking moment. Now that I’m back to work though, I feel like he just has a bigger happier reaction when he sees his dad in the morning or when he comes home compared to seeing me . This may sound childish , but it just makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong .

3 year old SD with smegma build up

So, we’re not sure what to do in this situation because my 3 year old SD just got dropped off to us and while getting her ready for bed her father had to wipe her legs down as she had pen all over her legs and he noticed that her bits had quite a lot of white build up so my partner called me over and asked me for my opinion but we’re not sure what to do with the information.

Her father doesn’t know what to do as he feels her bio mum should know but Her bio mum can get very confrontational and agitated very quickly and he doesn’t know how to approach it or if he should?

I know it’s normal for a toddler to get it but a very small amount and looking at it it wasn’t a small amount it was a thick clump going down both sides and over the hood. So it wasn’t/couldn’t be a build up of that volume from her last bath 2 days ago on Wednesday

We have cleared it extremely gently with a warm soft wash cloth which is safe to do, but we don’t know what to do next in terms of on the adult side of things?
