Elected c section?

I’ve had two and personally loved them. Very calm, controlled and happy experiences with zero trauma for me or the kids. I’ll have my third the same way. Pain wise, I’ve had worse periods than my recoveries but it’s all very individual.

I had a traumatic first birth which ended up in a c section and I did an elective for my second and it was the best!! My doctors performed the c section with the highest care, I got to put music on, and i recovered in less than 48 hours Bc of how well they did.

I opted for a csection after 2 similar births
I never got it as I went into natural labour and theatre was too busy. It was my easiest birth x
They say the first is the worst where as any more are easier as the body's done it before

I had one this time round.
And I Really didn’t want it, I wanted to go as natural as possible (1st one was proper c-section emergency, knocked out etc). But because I was having a big baby this time there were a lot of risks.

Anyway, Last min we decided to have elective after docs advice. It was actually amazing!! It was so calm and great I’d do it again!! We had an amazing team, had a laugh & it was emotional as hell, everyone viably happy for us!

My only advice would be to make sure you have a playlist ready lol - we had a Geordie baby so decided in the room to just stick Sam fender on as we didn’t know that was a thing!

Recovery isn’t great obvs but I seen it as I was taking the risk and hassle for babies sake. I’m 5.5weeks now and it’s absolutely flew!! I was driving at 4weeks! Good luck!
