When will I have more time for school or work?

Hey there I’m a ftm and been home with my baby for 6 months. I enjoy it but I’m also wanting to provide more for her by getting an education or mentorship. What age do you think is gonna be the best to start setting those goals? Right now I feel like I’m too busy with her and keeping up with our house.

Hi Monica! I was absolutely there and still am some days. I don’t think there’s a perfect time. I did find though that by having pre planned activities with my daughter it made it easier to take time to do my work things.

I am in grad school for mental health counseling and about to enter my internship year. I was entering my 3rd trimester with my son when I first started and my daughter was almost 2. It’s hard but I’m so happy that I am doing this. I do my work during nap time and bed time. If you want to talk about it feel free to message me :). I hope it works out for you!

Hey, I felt the same way and my little is 11 months. I am praying that once she is to one nap I can place her in a part time daycare that I feel comfortable with since they only offer 1 nap. I’m in the mean time setting myself up for success during nap times and sleep times so when I begin working/business/goals I have set the ground work. Praying you find peace and joy in the meantime and when the right time arrives- it all works for your family!

Missing my old life

I feel awful writing this. Me and my lovely husband haven’t been together long - 14 months which I know sounds crazy! I love him so much. We have a 5 week old who I adore more than anything. But I miss it being just me and my husband so much. We’re snapping at each other and I feel stressed all the time. It was a really difficult pregnancy towards the end and this is maybe even more difficult. I’m mourning the ease of our old life (which I know didn’t last long!!) I’m a bit sensitive and wanted to just put this out there. Any insights?

Honest question

When your child is having a tantrum... Do you ever just think in your head shut the hell up?

I feel bad for thinking it. But I'm only human. Thankfully I don't project and remain patient on the exterior. But interior I'm shouting in my head

Tell me why???

The first thing I think of (after are they ok) when my husband says he's at the ER because our son got stung half a dozen times by wasps was "where are his glasses? He can't see without his glasses"

My son doesn't wear glasses.

He's fine btw

Apologies if this seems petty

I have an almost 2 year old daughter
She’s my whole life I adore her

I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday
We found out we’re having another daughter & I absolutely weeped like I mourned a son that was never meant for me
I dreamed up an entire world with my daughter & this second child being a son & it’s hit me so hard knowing now that won’t be my reality

I’m finding it really difficult to accept

Has anyone felt this way
I see all kinds of families around me with & without children with boys with girls with a mix etc

I am so grateful for everything I have
I just can’t help this feeling
My heart aches

2 year old sleeping

If you go on holiday or sleep at grandparents house, what would you do if your 2 year old can literally only sleep in their own (dark) room in their own bed without noise but it might not be the case if you’re going away? Like how do they sleep if it’s not easy they’re used to in your own home?
