I’m 36 weeks today and I’ve noticed for the past few days I’ve been leaking a little bit of colostrum from both of my boobs. Ive not been hand expressing or collecting it as I’ve been told by my midwife not to collect it until I’m 37 weeks but feel like it’s a waste of colostrum. Did anyone wait until 37 weeks? I want to start collecting but don’t want to incase it’s not safe.

I started at 35 weeks but I only started so soon cause I’m being induced in 9 days
Hand expression is okay at 35 weeks but is more recommended for 36-37 as the stimulation releases oxytocin that also can cause early labor but I’ve been collecting nearly everyday for 2 weeks and I’ve been fine

Get yourself some collection cups. Medela sell them just wear them in your bra 😉
I was expressing from 36 weeks and froze in the syrines. no one will know unless you tell them

I think it must vary between different trusts as mine advised 36 weeks, collecting it if it’s leaking won’t make a difference anyway x

What you could do is get syringes and then collect what is leaking or use collection cups but not hand express until 37 weeks 😊

you can defo start now just keep it to a small amount. I started about 34 weeks and I didn't have baby until 40+4 so it defo didn't speed anything up 🤣
Mums who CHOOSE not to breastfeed because they simply just don’t want to (even with a milk supply) why don’t you pump instead of using formula???
this isn’t an attack! just asking out of curiosity!

Any advice is needed!
Little boy is 4 months next week and we have been struggling with this for at least 2 months now 😫 the last thing we have tried is infant gaviscon which helped for two weeks and then the constipation started badly. We have decided to come off that and just go back to his milk with nothing in. Which has helped him poo. His reflux is slowly coming back, he’s not being sick he’s just so uncomfortable all day screams in pain. Anyone got any advice to what steps are next? 😫😫😫

I'd love to hear from other mums—how long did it take before you felt comfortable leaving the house with your newborn? Were there things that helped you build confidence for those first outings? My daughter is now 7 weeks and she seems happy going on a walk for like 10 minutes until she starts crying for me to take her out of the stroller. I want to be able to go on daily walks and get a coffee and chill but she has no chill right now. I know she’s just a baby but I have friends that started going out with their baby at 2 weeks! So I’m starting to feel like I missed out on something…any advice is appreciated 🙏

We didn’t have sex when he wanted to on Friday night so he hasn’t spoken to me since. 😕
Backstory…my day on Friday started at 6am. Starting with getting the kids ready for school, followed by a zillion errands & chores when I got back home that I didn’t finish until well into the evening. After dinner, i get our youngest ready for bed & it’s a struggle getting her to sleep bc she’s not feeling well. I finally get her to sleep around 12:10am. I’m SPENT at this point so I go to our bedroom & lay in the bed close my eyes just to unwind. 12:13am my husband strolls into the room expecting sexy time. He says “are you really sleeping right now?” I say “😑 I’m trying to” He leaves the room about 2 minutes later & doesn’t come back. He hasn’t spoken to me since. This feels like manipulation 🤔

We're struggling with how to arrange the rooms.
We have a 3 bed property.
We have the largest room.
Daughter (4) has the 2nd largest.
Smaller room is currently an office.
I'm pregnant.
Option 1: Office turns into baby room.
Option 2: Daughter moves into office, 2nd room gets turned into play room/baby room.
Option 3: They share biggest room (eventually). We move into 2nd room. Office turns into playroom.
