Silent Treatment

We didn’t have sex when he wanted to on Friday night so he hasn’t spoken to me since. 😕

Backstory…my day on Friday started at 6am. Starting with getting the kids ready for school, followed by a zillion errands & chores when I got back home that I didn’t finish until well into the evening. After dinner, i get our youngest ready for bed & it’s a struggle getting her to sleep bc she’s not feeling well. I finally get her to sleep around 12:10am. I’m SPENT at this point so I go to our bedroom & lay in the bed close my eyes just to unwind. 12:13am my husband strolls into the room expecting sexy time. He says “are you really sleeping right now?” I say “😑 I’m trying to” He leaves the room about 2 minutes later & doesn’t come back. He hasn’t spoken to me since. This feels like manipulation 🤔

It 100%% is and he shouldn’t be acting that way. 🚩

It is coercive control

It is 100% manipulation. You deserve to be treated with more care. You are not a machine to fulfill his desires.

Is he another child? He needs to grow up and 1) read the room and 2) participate in raising his children

I hate this. My ex made me feel guilty about lack of sex when I was pregnant and sick and managing our toddler. He totally framed it as he just wanted to feel close and wanted to feel desired beyond just being a dad. Like ok but sex isn’t the only form of intimacy… and then the pressure would make me want it less and less. Then it just got worse and worse, to the point where I had panic attacks and he made THAT the problem. Total narcissist. I left him at 9 months pregnant with our second. He still tries to make me miserable but at least I’m not being pestered for sex and punished with the silent treatment and weird behavior anymore. lol

The fact you’ve even felt the need to justify here how tiring your day was. Girl you don’t need any reason to say no. Awful behaviour from him

Feel like there is more to it. You should just talk to him and see what the issue is.

My office is in the nursery

Hi all, this is very much a first world problem but thought it doesn’t hurt to ask. Our house is very small and so my PC/desk is in the nursery and the room is kind of split in half, I use it to game and create crafts on the side which I sell. Usually, I do this when baby goes to bed around 7pm as he’s not sleeping in that room yet and I get a good few hours every night and honestly I love this time it just makes me feel human again. Soon, our son is going to have to move into that room and I’m worried this means I won’t be able to use the room anymore in the evening as I literally have no where else in the house my desk can go. I just wondered if anyone was in a similar situation and either tried to use the room quietly and if that worked?

breast/formula feeding

Mums who CHOOSE not to breastfeed because they simply just don’t want to (even with a milk supply) why don’t you pump instead of using formula???

this isn’t an attack! just asking out of curiosity!

Silent reflux

Any advice is needed!

Little boy is 4 months next week and we have been struggling with this for at least 2 months now 😫 the last thing we have tried is infant gaviscon which helped for two weeks and then the constipation started badly. We have decided to come off that and just go back to his milk with nothing in. Which has helped him poo. His reflux is slowly coming back, he’s not being sick he’s just so uncomfortable all day screams in pain. Anyone got any advice to what steps are next? 😫😫😫

When did you feel comfortable going out with your newborn?

I'd love to hear from other mums—how long did it take before you felt comfortable leaving the house with your newborn? Were there things that helped you build confidence for those first outings? My daughter is now 7 weeks and she seems happy going on a walk for like 10 minutes until she starts crying for me to take her out of the stroller. I want to be able to go on daily walks and get a coffee and chill but she has no chill right now. I know she’s just a baby but I have friends that started going out with their baby at 2 weeks! So I’m starting to feel like I missed out on something…any advice is appreciated 🙏
