I’m sorry you’re going through this. I did a lot of my sons appointments alone and I am doing all of my daughters alone as my partner can’t get time off or has his kids from his ex.
I found it did get easier, if it’s the jabs you do get a break after the 16 week ones.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong if you need to cry, shows your little one that emotions matter. They tend to bounce back quicker than we do. I try to remember how important the thing is we’re going to and try to focus on that. While also having a good moan to some close friends- always helps.
Hope you’re ok 😊

Probably it's accepting the pain and trying to stay in the present and think this is a moment just for u and the baby. If u cry there you dont have to feel bad. IT happened to me and luckyly I felt supported by the doctors.

I go to all my appointments alone, because my husband can not take off time for the appointments and time to be home with me after the baby is born. It’s been this way for us for 14 years. I will say, in the beginning, I was so sad he was missing things, and felt alone, but when he was able to stay home with me for 2 weeks at a time, right after birth, the perspective changed. I always video the ultrasounds for him, and I bought a baby Doppler for home, so he can hear the babies heartbeat when he wants too. For me personally, him being around postpartum was way more important that the baby appointments. I’m sorry that you are feeling this way.

Have you considered a doula to be by your side?

I completely understand being sad about it. I’m in my third trimester and my husband travels for work and also has another child, so I’ve had to accept that he simply won’t be there for everything. If I go into labor early while he’s all the way in Germany for example, I’ll be doing it without him, and I don’t have family to fall back on either. But I had to change my perspective — I’m not carrying and birthing this baby because someone is beside me, I’m doing it because I’m her mother. Our bodies are literally built to carry, nourish and sustain our babies. A partner’s presence and support is beautiful and important, but I don’t want his absence to make me feel incapable of something I was already made to do. Feel your feelings, absolutely, but don’t let them take away from experiencing your baby. Sometimes we really do have to woman up and remind ourselves, “I can do this.” 🤍

Stopping bottle

My 2.5 year old is still drinking the bottle( normal milk) which I know he shouldn’t but it’s only once at night to sleep as I have a 4 month old and it’s difficult to put them both down, how do I stop the bottle?

15 months behaviour

Hey mums. I am struggling bad with my little girl at the moment. she is going through a stage where she will scream at anyone who looks at her. She’s also biting people and biting herself when she gets angry or gets told no. Definitely the terrible twos come early.

Breastfeeding

I have a 3 week old baby who is breastfed only but seems to cluster feed and seems really unsettled most times. I know shes getting enough milk and is also gaining weight but the constant crying is frustrating and makes me want to cry. I am trying to feed her more upright so she is not laying down and also keeping her upright after feeds but any advice? As I feel like im failing as a mother 😢

Avoiding tearing

Hey ladies! Has anyone started taking any supplements, doing any exercises, or anything else to help prevent tearing during birth? Would love to hear what you’re doing or what’s been recommended to you! ❤️

Please help - breastfeeding first time mum

The first 2 nights with baby I’ve had to set alarms to feed her as she would happily just sleep all the way through without waking. Tonight she’s doing the opposite🤣
I’ll feed her, put her in her next to me, within 2 mins she’s crying and showing hunger ques. So I feed her again…the process continues. She’s been in and out of this next to me about 8 times now. I don’t think it’s got anything to do with hunger I think it’s just comfort because she will happily stay sleeping on me. (Bed sharing isn’t really an option as we only have a small double bed + share with our dog, it’s already too cramped so I really do want her to be able to sleep in her own safe space). I’ve got her in a love to dream swaddle too to try to settle her but doesn’t seem to be helping. Anything else I can try ??
