I’ve been a single mum now a little over a year and honestly I still find it so hard when my lo is with their dad. I feel so lost and miss them so so much! Maybe it will never get easier but I would have thought by now it would hurt a little less …

I'm sorry you are going through this. I know exactly how you feel. Been doing it for years and hasn't gotten easier. For me I think just not knowing what's going on or if she's okay bothers me the most, but also just not having that family unit. Do you have any support or friends you can reach out to when little one is away?

I really love it when my kid goes to her dad’s because I get time to myself. I feel like it makes me a better mum too. My daughter is 3.5 now, I think I only really struggled for the first year, but had no issues after that. I imagine that’s because it coincided with my return to work and uni giving me another focus.

My eldest is now 12 and I left her dad when she was 3.. it was so hard to begin with and I felt like a part of me was missing but I eventually grew to love my time apart, using it to rest and reset and filled my time with things I enjoy.
I went bsck to education and spent years focusing on that which really helped keep my mind busy knowing I was bettering myself for our future. I did find that I was a better parent for having the breaks too.
I now have a nearly 2 year old and am experiencing it all again, just cos I got used to it before - I still took time to get used to it again. I think I see now that as the child is older it gets easier as theyre more independent and can speak for themselves I know their needs will be met more so I worry less. 🤷🏽♀️
So my only advice is, you are more than 'mum' and as much as guilt is crazy, you are allowed to be you too so channel that time into yourself 🙂

I have no idea when it gets easier but I just wanted to let you know I am exactly the same. My son has been with his dad since Sunday and I’ve missed him so much, I know deep down that I need this break but it doesn’t help the fact that I really miss him too.
Hi Girls, it’s my birthday in literally 45 mins and im literally alone because my boyfriend thought carnival was more important than me…he went today instead of being with me he didn’t even tell me he was going, he purposely delayed telling me when he was there and I just feel like im done with him. I’ve already done most this pregnancy him barely scraping the bare minimum its actually hard to even fathom this is a boyfriend. I’m 35 weeks pregnant and this really hurt my feelings today. You’ve gone to carnival knowing you have a heavily pregnant girlfriend at home on the day BEFORE her birthday.

At this point idc where you live! I’ve joined group chats that every time I reply with my own expression SILENCE I’m not the type to go into detail. I speak pretty boldly but I’m an introvert, homebody type of gal, a texter not caller. A chiller not let’s hang outter. I love my home!!! This happens pretty frequently I’ll check on old friends but then no checking on me❌❌❌. Like not everybody is for everybody. Putting yourself out there is going to include rejection. Ok but where’s my people.

24 weeks pregnant and I’m honestly starting to panic I haven’t bought much for the baby yet and I’m on a really tight budget (around £1k a month).
There’s SO much to buy and I have no idea what’s actually essential vs what’s just marketing 😭
If you’ve had a baby recently, what would you say I actually need before baby arrives, and what can wait?
Also if you know any good cheap places, baby banks/charities or ways to get things for less, please tell me 🥹❤️ I need all the help I can get.

Hi! I’m looking for a bestie that’s in the same walk of life as I am. It’s hard making friends as a SAHM. So I’m posting this in hopes that I’ll find my own personal forever friend. I am 32 with a daughter. I love all types of music and always looking for someone to swap music recommendations and playlists with. I’m big on crafting and looking to learn to crotchet and sew as a hobby. I’m also into reading! Some of my favorite genres are romance, mystery, self help, and psychological thrillers! I am a huge foodie and love to cook and try new recipes. I also am a slight gamer. Fortnite is one of my faves so if you play we could def run some duos. I love to travel and I equally love being outdoors! I am a night owl and a pretty decent texter. If any of this resonates with you I’d love to chat to see how we vibe!
