Am I being unreasonable?
My husband has been under diagnosis for chrons , IBS and a multitudes of other illnesses for years. He has not been diagnosed as he’s never hit the markers for anything and even his Chrons was taken to a board but it was agreed he doesn’t have it. Anyway we had a 2.5 year old and a 9 month old , he naps when our toddler naps so in the day I do everything , even when I’d just given birth he’d take our toddler out but would nap with her and I’d be left with all the washing etc. he was much better at helping with our first as he was off for 3 months after he was both but this time around I’ve come to realise how lazy he actually is , I have to nag and nag to get him to complete any task. I have to arrange what we do on the weekend , he’ll never make plans. I’m just so fed up and burnt out from it and some days fantasise about divorcing him as on the days I solo parent it is actually easier. I don’t agree with his parenting most of the time as he can be quite sharp and snappy to our toddler and guilt trips her when she’s just figuring out her emotions. I’ve suggested couples therapy but the only time slots is when he’s at work and won’t take the time off work for it , even my family members have commented how lazy he is. Sorry for the long post , am I being unreasonable for wanting more? I know life would be 100% harder if he split up and I couldn’t imagine having my kids half the time , it’d break my heart and I know he’s poorly but I’m mid 20’s and I can’t waste my life looking after him also when he gives nothing back , also doesn’t change any of his lifestyle habits. I’m so stuck on what to do , any advice would be great! We haven’t had sex 6 months as he just repulses me now , I can’t even pretend anymore. So confused.

That's a really tough situation to be in, I'm so sorry. From the outside looking in I completely don't think you're being unreasonable. After having my son I have been having health issues that make me so tired and fatigued most days, but I still do what needs to be done most days and my husband helps out. I don't mean to compare, everyone and every relationship is different, but it sounds like he has no care for your needs and what your body has gone through to bring your kids into the world. If you have tried talking to him multiple times and nothing changes and he refuses to try therapy I think he's given you his answer.

Can I ask what some of his symptoms are? Because what you are describing doesnt sound like ibs necessarily but i dont know all the symptoms he has, I have ibs and but obviously mine is diagnosed. Being undiagnosed I guess could be leading to him being frustrated and some stuff could lead to deficiencies which could be why he is fatiqued all the time and being moody I know because I had a vitamin d and folic acid deficiency making me feel that way last year, maybe he could try get tested for a deficiency if they have done stool samples and colonaspy blood tests and different scans and they are all clear of everything else its likely ibs. Could it be that he has pots or fibromyalia or something like that. I can see how from your side its frustrating but I can also see from his side why he is struggling if you get what I mean

My sister lives a similar life to you only she’s the ones with the with the IBS diagnosis, but it’s so extreme that it’s most likely not IBS and something undiagnosed. She’s the primary parent and her partner is lazy like yours.

I’m sorry that you are going through this. I understand this from both sides. I also have chronic illness and some days it can be completely debilitating and my husband has to carry the weight of our family. He often - most of
The time - carries more than me because I literally can’t… my chronic illness is managed but I am still in the thick of it and not in remission. But I also feel immense guilt about not being able to give more. We are actively making decisions together about parenting and how to parent together with my chronic illness.
I also work with clients who have chronic illness diagnosed or not and the toll it takes on you is very real and not visible - which makes it very hard for them and those around them.
That all being said, it’s important that you feel seen and that you both communicate needs and frustrations.

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and just recently inflammatory arthritis. It’s hard, but I’m still primary parent and in charge of the most the house stuff, as my husband works long hours.
I had some sympathy for him until you said he refuses to make any lifestyle changes. I think you need a serious talk with him, so he understands how unacceptable this is. You deserve a real partner, not a man child.
We have a 1.5 year old and due a baby in a few weeks. My husband has been taking our toddler for a walk in the evenings each day, just so I can have a bath and take some time to relax. We live a few minutes walk from a woodland, open farm and a small park. My husband always tells me he walks to and around one of these places. However I’ve found out that he has occasionally been walking to his friends house (5 minutes away) and having a catch up/watching tv instead. I wouldn’t mind so much if he was honest and this was a more suitable thing for my toddler to do. His friend has no kids/no toys at his house. I am feeling very annoyed with him but he doesn’t understand why.
For reference, I have no problem with him seeing his friends but I would rather he didn’t lie about it and use his quality time with his son to do this.

This weekend I was in the hospital with kidney stones measuring up to 5mm. The pain was honestly worst that labor, and I was given a prescription of oxycodone, 1 pill every 4 hours. I didn’t take them and ended up back in the ER and they explained I needed to be taking them even when I wasn’t in pain, because when the pain comes (when the stone starts moving) the pin is already too high for the prescription to work.
That made sense to me, so when I got home, I took a pill with a glass of water and a light lunch. I still had a dull ache, so I asked the girls if they wanted to lay in my bed and watch a movie together, which they did and we watched movies. My husband called to check in on me at some point and I told him I took the pills they gave me, and he FREAKED out. He immediately left and came home. Made the girls get out of our room and go to their own, and was screaming at me that he was so disappointed in me and couldn’t believe me. He saying “and you did that in front of our daughters???” I was shocked, and he just started packing his things and said if I wasn’t sick he’d be kicking me out and he’d be staying with the kids, but he was so disgusted with me he couldn’t look at me and couldn’t stay in the same house. Then he threw his packed bag into the doorway and left without it. He went to hang out with the single mom next door who is always flirting with him. Stayed the night there too, and wouldn’t take my calls. Called in the morning to talk to the girls and then came home to walk them to the bus stop with me.
He followed me into the house after they got on and told me he wanted a divorce. He said I could’ve died taking those pills (I took 1, as prescribed by the doctor) and that I need serious help. He told me that’s not fair to him or the kids when I know his mom died right in front of him and his brother OD’d on pain killers. (Yes I knew these things, but his mom died of natural causes and his brother was an addict. I’m not.) He said he can’t be with me anymore because he can’t even look at me without thinking about what I did. He had off work today so I asked if could call off and we spend the day together and figure it out, but he said no. He said he doesn’t even want to see me anymore. He then left again and walked to the neighbors house, and I went to work.
We’ve been fighting via text since I got here, and I’ve accused him of leaving me for the neighbor because I said this just feels like an insane over reaction and I did nothing wrong. He got more mad and said they’re “just friends” and when I pointed out everything not friendly she’s done he said I’m hilarious and making shit up.
I really don’t know what to think. Was I wrong for taking the medication with our kids home? Am I making too big of a deal over the neighbor ?

Hi I have a baby boy he is almost 16 weeks. I’m just curious really what other mums doing with their babies day to day? I was going to a few baby groups but they’re not on while school holidays now, I try to get out for walks, do lots of playing and reading books with my boy and will get out day to day shopping seeing family etc. just curious what others do and if there’s anything else I should be doing or could be doing! My boy seems to be developing well but I always seem to question myself if I’m doing enough with him! I am an overthinker and worrier tho I should add😆

I couldn’t afford anymore baby food for my 8 month old because it’s the end of the month. When introducing blue berries I stick it in the blender to pureee . Does it matter if there is some skins left from the blueberries. I was told as long as it’s not round. 😖😖. Send help . We are struggling with solids . I’m running out of formula at the end of the month , because Mr. Man wakes up a total of well more times than a new born for a bottle . I already had to borrow $20 from my aunt . My card didn’t work 🙄🙄. I’m trying to up solids. It’s just not going well.

Not sure if social media fear mongering anyone else heard that they’re bringing lockdowns into primary and secondary schools across UK? Would love to hear from some teachers
