Lollll you got a bigger problem than food. He listens to his mother first. Brazy.

From personal experience food under 12 months is just for fun!! Just keep it that way I started my baby with food at 4 months. If they have great interest you shouldn’t discourage it. You should ask your pediatrician as some babies will show signs they aren’t ready yet! It helped me a lot to have him start young because it lead to a very great eater!! He loves food. You just have to not introduce too much to fast. Remember it helps fill the belly and is just fun flavors. Babies that young are not gaining great nutrition from it. Don’t stress. If that causes stress don’t do it! At the end of the day either option is not going to harm or affect the baby!

I’ve read its when the baby can sit up fully without help means they’re ready. Idk though my baby is 3months but I’m waiting until 6 months 💗

It’s not my 3 month old son is eating baby food now he prefer that over his milk anyday

American Academy of pediatrics suggests 6 months and being able to sit unsupported. This is because newer studies are showing that earlier introduction of solids causes gut issues later in life as at 4 months the gut is not just mature enough. Food before one is not just for fun as it helps with allergies and oral development but 4 months is a little too young.

Fine for tasting but I wouldn’t hold any expectation of eating spoonfuls or whole pouches if that makes sense

Unless medically advised for reflux I’d start at 6 months. We’re at 7 months and the mess is unbelievable, enjoy not having to clean up after every meal while you can!
We have a 1.5 year old and due a baby in a few weeks. My husband has been taking our toddler for a walk in the evenings each day, just so I can have a bath and take some time to relax. We live a few minutes walk from a woodland, open farm and a small park. My husband always tells me he walks to and around one of these places. However I’ve found out that he has occasionally been walking to his friends house (5 minutes away) and having a catch up/watching tv instead. I wouldn’t mind so much if he was honest and this was a more suitable thing for my toddler to do. His friend has no kids/no toys at his house. I am feeling very annoyed with him but he doesn’t understand why.
For reference, I have no problem with him seeing his friends but I would rather he didn’t lie about it and use his quality time with his son to do this.

Am I being unreasonable?
My husband has been under diagnosis for chrons , IBS and a multitudes of other illnesses for years. He has not been diagnosed as he’s never hit the markers for anything and even his Chrons was taken to a board but it was agreed he doesn’t have it. Anyway we had a 2.5 year old and a 9 month old , he naps when our toddler naps so in the day I do everything , even when I’d just given birth he’d take our toddler out but would nap with her and I’d be left with all the washing etc. he was much better at helping with our first as he was off for 3 months after he was both but this time around I’ve come to realise how lazy he actually is , I have to nag and nag to get him to complete any task. I have to arrange what we do on the weekend , he’ll never make plans. I’m just so fed up and burnt out from it and some days fantasise about divorcing him as on the days I solo parent it is actually easier. I don’t agree with his parenting most of the time as he can be quite sharp and snappy to our toddler and guilt trips her when she’s just figuring out her emotions. I’ve suggested couples therapy but the only time slots is when he’s at work and won’t take the time off work for it , even my family members have commented how lazy he is. Sorry for the long post , am I being unreasonable for wanting more? I know life would be 100% harder if he split up and I couldn’t imagine having my kids half the time , it’d break my heart and I know he’s poorly but I’m mid 20’s and I can’t waste my life looking after him also when he gives nothing back , also doesn’t change any of his lifestyle habits. I’m so stuck on what to do , any advice would be great! We haven’t had sex 6 months as he just repulses me now , I can’t even pretend anymore. So confused.

Not sure if social media fear mongering anyone else heard that they’re bringing lockdowns into primary and secondary schools across UK? Would love to hear from some teachers

I just feel so tired and overwhelmed. I have multiple small children and very little help. Today I feel so tired like I can’t even get up to make food for us to eat. Now I’m not saying we have food insecurity or my children go hungry -my children are very well taken care of. What I’m saying is this is the first time I realized that I am so overwhelmed that it’s going to take everything I have to get up and make food, something as simple as food. I feel guilt like a bad mother and I realize maybe for the first time how much difficulty I’m having. It’s just very hard I didn’t realize how difficult this would be. I’ve never been this tired and I need God to give me the strength.
Mothers do not get enough support and I wish that were different. Am I alone or does anyone understand?

AIBU?
my husband works full time, I’m a stay at home mum as I was made redundant while pregnant.
we have a 5 YO and a 9 MO. I do 99% of the parenting. Because I’m a stay at home mum I also do the majority of the housework. When my husband gets home if there’s something not done (like the dishwasher emptied, washing not sorted etc) he’ll be in a mood with me. I do try to keep up with the household stuff but having a baby to look after and food shopping/house admin/everything else on top of it is sometimes hard but to be honest I think I do keep up quite well.
He makes his own dinner when he gets in at night (I offer but he doesn’t like my food) and will sometimes do a little bit of housework (maybe he’ll mop once a month or fold some washing?).
he plays football 4 times a week and again, I’m doing 100% of the parenting in this time. I do all meal times, bath times and lie with the kids til they’re asleep too. I honestly don’t mind as I love being a mum, I feel like it was my sole purpose but what I do mind is when he gets home and is in a mood because X, Y and Z hasn’t been done. Or like tonight when i nip out for 20 minutes (with the 5 YO) and he’s phoning me because he can’t cope with the baby and again, in a horrid mood because I shouldn’t have left the house at that time apparently.
like I say I don’t mind doing all of the parenting, I love my babies so much but I hate how he goes in a mood with me and I’m beginning to wonder if I’m in the wrong. Should I be more more on top of things as I don’t work? I feel like I need to walk on eggshells as he pays the bills. Am I being unreasonable?
