I'm on the verge of tears, I feel like I'm going insane.
She says she's hungry, I get her food she doesn't want it, I make something else, she doesn't want it. Is been a recurring cycle all day.
I have followed the advice to give her soft bland foods and cool food but I don't know what to do anymore... I've tried porridge, mash potato, eggs, ice pop, yoghurt, mashed banana, scrambled eggs.
Then she screams and cries for icecream.
I have given her medicine to help.
Please any advice would be appreciated if you have been through this. Please share good recommendation.

Does she still have any milk? My son had it when he still had a fair bit of milk so he'd just have milk and yogurts and went back to normal food when the sores had healed up. Aside from that I'd not stress too much about food consumption, so long as she is having water and wet nappies she'll be ok without many solids.
As for the ice cream, if you don't want her to have it, can you freeze Greek yogurt? It probably feels nice and soothing.
From memory the worst was over for us after about 2-3 days and he started to go back to normal x

Mine lived off yoghurt and mini milk lollies when they had it, bless it makes their mouths so sore! Honestly whatever she will eat is fine even if it's just icecream for a couple of days. Drinking is more important but straws/sippy cups you have to suck might hurt to use. You haven't said how old she is but if she's not able to use an open cup on her own yet then hold it for her to have sips from. Hang in there, hopefully she feels better soon! X

Mine lived off yogurt and applesauce

Just give her ice cream. Try some tylonel if you haven’t already. She’s in pain and discomfort. You unfortunately just have to get through it, it should pass within a few days.

When it comes to sickness, I forget all the rules. The goal is survival for everyone.
Duvet on the sofa, Sesame Street on TV, comfort food, ice cream.
If she’s refusing food, any food is a win. She just needs calories and rest, give her the ice cream and by the weekend she’ll be over it xx

What about a smoothie? Also, not sure what medicine you’re trying but when my son had HFM and my daughter had chicken pox (had ulcers with it), anbesol really helped 😊

Like I appreciate he may be doing jobs that are on his todo list in his mind, but nothing that is actually helpful in the moment. It seems like he can't prioritise.
For example we have a 5 month old baby and a 3 year old. Our 3 year old goes to nursery in the mornings. My husband is off work atm, I'm a SAHM, so we are both around.
This morning, I wake up at 6:30 with baby, take her downstairs so she doesn't wake everyone, feed her, change her, dress her. At around 7:00 I make my 3yos breakfast so it's ready for him when he comes downstairs. He wakes around 7:15 so I go get him and bring him down. My husband also comes downstairs at this point.
I help my son with his breakfast, baby is in her swing for now.
I make up my sons bag for nursery, fill his water bottle, I clean and put baby's bottles in the Steriliser, I dress 3yo, I take him upstairs to use the toilet, brush his teeth and wash his face, I style his hair.
I then come back downstairs and immediately smell that baby has pooped, so I say to my husband can you not smell that? He says no. I change babies nappy again.
I tell my son to go get his shoes on, I get the pram unfolded for baby. My husband finally appears to help 3yo with his shoes and jacket, puts his own shoes on and then just stands around. I put baby in her pram etc, we all get outside to leave just on time and then my husband is like oh I need to pee 🤦🏻♀️ What was he doing all morning? The recycling was sitting on the kitchen ledge, he didn't take that out. He didn't put the breakfast dishes in the dishwasher, I don't actually know what he was doing? Like he just sort of faffs?? Makes cereal for himself and looks at stuff and just sort of *exists*.
Yes I can ask him for help, and sometimes he will help more without asking, but it makes me so annoyed to have to ask in the first place. I'm already busy managing our morning so we aren't late, we both have the same responsibilities, we both know what needs done, idk why I need to be the family manager.

Does anyone have a partner that works graveyard?
Do they still show up to help with the kid(s)? Like hangout with them. Help put them to bed. Helps brush teeth.
Or do they not because they’re tired and need to get ready for work?
