Making friends as an adult is so hard let alone being a mom! Going on apps to find friends or ven in person but people have gotten so weird since covid. No one genuinely wants to be your friend, they are jealous, and hateful people. They always want you to text them first. people say they want to be or want friends but when you talk to them they ghost you, they just want followers online, or they already have friends! Like hello some people want genuine connections not just a hey, and bye situation!

Totally understand this. I have started so many conversations and exchanged numbers. But it hasn't gone past the hey how are you stage.
I miss having a connection that isnt just my almost 2 year old. I want adult conversations too before I forget how to have them.

Yess!! I agree and have had a similar experience. I even had childhood friends that openly were “jealous” because of where I was in my life. It's great they were open about it but sad that they were willing to let it dissolve our friendship. I want to understand and support others from a genuine place and let it be mutual lol as well if differences come up we can work through them or if we grow apart let it be but I can't even get past the small talk stage so I'm hoping to find people on the same page but don't even know where to begin lol I definitely appreciate the app but hope to have people to hang out with irl haha

Hey girl do u wanna join my only mama discord?
So I'm posting this incognito because honestly I feel like a right loser.
I used to have friends I always had someone to talk to, to go out with, to have a text to reply to. I literally would do anything I could to help anyone. Then I moved to be with my husband and lost afew of them but made some more at work. Then we moved and had our children and one by one lost everyone I tried to meet up with people but when people forget about you, forget they made plans with you and don't turn up, are too tired to meet up, say they will see you and never arrange it, it all gets a bit too much and I stopped trying with them because at the end of the day it was me upset not them.
Now I don't work so can't make friends that way, I stay at home with my children, I have them, my husband and my mum to talk to.
School has been open 3 days now and everyday I see people talking, me I stand there by myself, I say hello how are you they answer but walk past. Yesterday I stood waiting and may as well have been invisible people just joined the queue in front of me.
I've met people on here one I thought was going to be a great friend but she turned nasty others just haven't progressed to anything. Honestly I don't know what's wrong with me I don't know why I'm the one stood alone. What's wrong with me. I think I just needed to put that all into words and I also hope it helps someone. If you see someone by themselves at the school gates smile, say hello, include them in your conversation because we don't know what others are going through or how they are feeling.

I know this is really judgemental,. But I love working, I really want to go back but at the same time, I cannot even fathom leaving my baby.
The thing that I am judgemental on, is that I do not want to me one of them mums who just live on benefits for the rest of their lives, live in a council place and solely rely on council to help me out, have many children with different daddies because I have already left my baby daddy, I have already had so many emails asking when I am returning and I just don't know what to do. I break down into tears everytime I think about it because I know how judgemental I am being with it. I know that some mothers cannot help that and really do need it, but i also know mums who use benefits as a way to do fuck all. I don't even know what to say anymore...
I guess thanks for hearing me rant 😭😅

I think I’m more than happy with my one daughter.
But every now and then I entertain the thought of another child because I miss pregnancy/newborn stage but then remember how difficult toddlers are. How comfortable we are and less money means less freedom. I worry I’ll regret not having anymore! It’s so hard.

It was my first time ever making pizza from scratch. I made the dough waaay too thick because the instructions said “gently stretch it” and didn’t give a thickness goal so I ended up leaving it a little thick and after baking ended up with extra extra thick crust 😆 it was really fun to make though! Highly recommend. I wanna try a more complex topping recipe. This one was very basic since it was for toddlers. Anyone have one they really love?

Does anyone else feel like it’s hard to find friends on here. I just really wanna be able to find a few mum friends I can get on with.
