💕 CHARLOTTE, I NEED Y’ALL! 💕
I wholeheartedly want to move to Charlotte, NC, but I’m going to be completely honest… I’m a little scared. 🥹❤️
I don’t know anyone in Charlotte, and I honestly don’t know much about the city either. So before I make this big move, I would LOVE for some Charlotte locals to drop anything you think I should know! 🫶🏽
What areas are good for families? What areas should I avoid? Affordable apartments? Daycares? Schools? Parks? Things to do with little ones? Good jobs? Mommy groups? Literally ANYTHING you think would be helpful for a mom moving to Charlotte, please tell me! 😭💕 I’m open to all advice, tips, recommendations, and even things you wish someone had told you before moving there.
And to all my Charlotte mommas… I’m a little nervous about moving so far away by myself and starting over without knowing anybody. 🥺 So if anybody is willing to become friends, I would genuinely love that! I don’t want my babies and I to feel completely alone once we get there. ❤️
We don’t bite 😂💕 and we are ALL open to making new mommy friends AND toddler friends!
I have a 1-year-old, 2-year-old, 3-year-old, and I’ll have a 5-month-old come Monday. 🥹💕 So if you have little ones too, even better! We can do playdates, park days, lunch dates, library days, explore Charlotte together, or just build a genuine friendship and support system. 🥰
I’m really hoping Charlotte can be a fresh start for me and my babies, and I would love to build a little village along the way. 🫶🏽
So if you’re in Charlotte or the surrounding areas, PLEASE introduce yourself! 💕 Tell me where you’re from, how long you’ve lived there, how old your babies are, and anything you think I should know.
Charlotte mommas, come find me! 🥹💕

Good areas I would say mallard creek area but it is expensive for me a single mom it’s normally like 1600 ish if you use to the hood the west side won’t phase you but they do have the noda area that’s cute
Oh and my name is Ty from clt of course and I have a 2 year old son and a 7 month old girlllllll

Good areas are outskirts of Charlotte. Steele creek, mooresville, lake Norman, Ballantyne, Indian trail, tega cay/fort mill, providence. Stay away from N. Tryon, S.Tryon, Sugar creek, Mallard creek, brook shire, Wilkinson, freedom dr, tuckaseegee, w.t Harris, albemarle, arrowood, south blvd, central ave, east independence, nations ford. A good rule of thumb is it’s cheap for a reason, check reviews on apartments and the management companies.

The traffic is horrible from 2pm till 7pm. Splash pads for hot days, or rays splash planet is very affordable. There are a lot of indoor playgrounds and discovery museum.
So I'm posting this incognito because honestly I feel like a right loser.
I used to have friends I always had someone to talk to, to go out with, to have a text to reply to. I literally would do anything I could to help anyone. Then I moved to be with my husband and lost afew of them but made some more at work. Then we moved and had our children and one by one lost everyone I tried to meet up with people but when people forget about you, forget they made plans with you and don't turn up, are too tired to meet up, say they will see you and never arrange it, it all gets a bit too much and I stopped trying with them because at the end of the day it was me upset not them.
Now I don't work so can't make friends that way, I stay at home with my children, I have them, my husband and my mum to talk to.
School has been open 3 days now and everyday I see people talking, me I stand there by myself, I say hello how are you they answer but walk past. Yesterday I stood waiting and may as well have been invisible people just joined the queue in front of me.
I've met people on here one I thought was going to be a great friend but she turned nasty others just haven't progressed to anything. Honestly I don't know what's wrong with me I don't know why I'm the one stood alone. What's wrong with me. I think I just needed to put that all into words and I also hope it helps someone. If you see someone by themselves at the school gates smile, say hello, include them in your conversation because we don't know what others are going through or how they are feeling.

I know this is really judgemental,. But I love working, I really want to go back but at the same time, I cannot even fathom leaving my baby.
The thing that I am judgemental on, is that I do not want to me one of them mums who just live on benefits for the rest of their lives, live in a council place and solely rely on council to help me out, have many children with different daddies because I have already left my baby daddy, I have already had so many emails asking when I am returning and I just don't know what to do. I break down into tears everytime I think about it because I know how judgemental I am being with it. I know that some mothers cannot help that and really do need it, but i also know mums who use benefits as a way to do fuck all. I don't even know what to say anymore...
I guess thanks for hearing me rant 😭😅

I think I’m more than happy with my one daughter.
But every now and then I entertain the thought of another child because I miss pregnancy/newborn stage but then remember how difficult toddlers are. How comfortable we are and less money means less freedom. I worry I’ll regret not having anymore! It’s so hard.

It was my first time ever making pizza from scratch. I made the dough waaay too thick because the instructions said “gently stretch it” and didn’t give a thickness goal so I ended up leaving it a little thick and after baking ended up with extra extra thick crust 😆 it was really fun to make though! Highly recommend. I wanna try a more complex topping recipe. This one was very basic since it was for toddlers. Anyone have one they really love?

Does anyone else feel like it’s hard to find friends on here. I just really wanna be able to find a few mum friends I can get on with.
