Agitated or overly tired but still not sleep once I put it back in and rub her head. I don’t know what to do at 6am after a feed we’re up for hours and she’s still not sleeping. I’m getting exhausted. Has this happened to anyone?

Feeding has stopped sending my son to sleep so I’ve had to resort to long bouts of rocking and bouncing to get mine to sleep, it can take him sometimes half an hour of bouncing and he’ll still fight it. I then wait 10 mins or so before I put him in his cot and if he stirs I’ve started putting my hand on his chest for a bit to settle him. I also sometimes put his cot blanket on him when I’m holding him to trick him into thinking it’s contact when I put him down.

Yes our 5 week old was the same yesterday, only went down finally on night sleep. Following to see if others had this and any ideas on what worked.

Only thing that I have found helps is when i put him down once he’s slept to play lullabies, it stops his fussing otherwise he does wake up as soon as he’s put down

Yes we’ve had the same thing, a womb white noise play list on Spotify has helped. Also walking around a darker room - whatever time of day, just pulling the curtains has helped. It doesn’t work every time but great when it does. Also I think this is a peak growth time for them. You’re doing great job, just keep doing what you’re doing. This is a tricky time for them and you will get through xxx

Swaddles & white noise worked a treat for us x

8wo here and this is very common. Newborns crave contact naps. Mine won't sleep anywhere else during the day but is absolutely fine in her cot at night. We use a carrier so we can still get things done. However we did discover placing her in the tiger hold and walking around sends her to sleep within 10 minutes. We usually hold her like that and get on with chores etc one handed and she'll be asleep. If she's really cranky we switch the hoover on and she goes out like a light (even though we have a white noise machine)

My little girl is 10 weeks old now and hates a dummy and swaddle.
We put her down at like 8pm, In her bed awake after a long feed. Let her settle herself to sleep takes about 30-45 mins. She makes lots of grunting but no cries so leave her to work it out. We also listen to brown noise. If she is not playing by the rules I just pop her in bed with me and cuddle up close that works very well 🙏
My mother-in-law wants to come over the day my baby has her first shots since leaving the hospital, and I don’t want her to come over, but her dad says she could help, but I don’t think she could help. Am I wrong? I feel like having her there would only stress me out more because I’m nervous about the shots to begin with. Don’t get me wrong, I love my mother-in-law, but I don’t want someone trying to hold my baby when she’s upset.

For the last few weeks he’s been having a hard time getting to sleep at night. He’ll wake up every 15-30 minutes screaming if he does go to sleep. Tonight I gave him one of his toys and bam! Straight to sleep. Is that normal? Should I be doing that more often?

Now ik this isn’t a baby question but I really want some sort of bush trimmer (idk how else to word that sorry) I hate shaving because of the itch but it’s just uncomfy if it gets too long. I was looking at the Gillette one but apparently it only works as long as the first charge and then never again. Recommendations please ladies tysm

Hiya, has anyone used a breast milk collector to collect leaking milk at night? I didn't realise my breast milk was even leaking until I forgot to wear breast pads. The milk had leaked through to my bedsheets.... I'm wondering if a breast milk collector would be good to capture this?
