My baby just turned 8 months and everything is still such a struggle.
I just totally didn't realise how hard having a baby is. Every new phase is hard and I'm constantly second guessing myself, wondering if I'm failing or doing the best that I can for my little boy. Every day feels like a fight and I'm exhausted.
I feel so bad that I wish away his baby months, and I can't wait until he's a proper little fun person toddling around and communicating with me.
I'm sad that this is not how I thought maternity leave would be. I thought it would be happier and full of love. Whereas it's exhausting, and full of anxiety.
Just sharing, in case others feel the same way. I know we'll get through this, but it's just bloody hard in the meantime...

Girl I’m with u if u ever need to talk message me I have a 8mnth old

Yep agree. Love the new milestones but feel like I’m constantly exhausted and it’s bloody hard! I’ve actually just gone back to work last week (my baby is 8 months too) and it’s so nice as she’s enjoying nursery and I’m enjoying working again (3 days). Then the days I’m not working I am enjoying with her more. So hard when you don’t have family nearby! But going back to work has worked for us.

This was me with my first. Everyday was a struggle and honestly no one tells you that they're an non-interactive potato for the first year. For his maternity leave I had to be out of the house otherwise I'd just cry. So it was constant playdates and classes which just made me more tired and doubt myself even more. Then there was the social media shizzle that floods your feed, you know the whole "this is what my 7 month old does in a day" or "this is what my 9 month old eats". They just make you feel inadequate
Peanut helped a lot because you can just ask random questions and get help.
It's so hard, and it can feel lonely even when you have a village.
But, in a weird way, the fact that you feel this way means that you care (if that makes any sense) like you want to do the "right" thing and not fail them. It probably means that you're going above and beyond and your tiny human is very lucky to have you
Hear if you need a chat or advice. I've learnt a lot from my Frist which has helped with my second xx

I have a nearly 9 month old..I am right there with you ♥️

Me too ❤️

I think your experience is totally valid, a lot of other mothers go through the same! Im so sorry you are too, there is light at the end of the tunnel. My only advice is, and I know this is hard, but take some time to fill your own cup too. 10 mins, half an hour, an hour, whatever you can manage with your baby and support. Have a shower alone while someone you trust takes the baby, do something you used to enjoy alone; reading, drawing, go for a walk, anything... Just make sure you book that time in like it's a drs appointment and try for once a week. Doing something for you and being unreachable will make you feel better. It will give you the space to enjoy again.
I don't know you but the fact you care says a lot about how much of a good mother you are, keep going ❤️
I’m 27 weeks and feel like I started nesting weeks ago. I look at random things in my house every day and think “ugh I need to clean that/organise that asap because baby is coming soon”.
I guess I’m wondering when nesting starts for most people and if anyone has any practical tips for tidying up the house before baby arrives?
I’m really struggling to keep on top of housework between work and regular mum & wife tasks. I feel like every time I clean or organise something, my husband or toddler undoes it or makes a new mess for me to tidy!😅

So I have recently seen a lot of influencers saying they aren’t posting there children faces anymore due to AI and people using them for the worst things you could think of possible
I post my child on fb and instagram (only family and school friends all account are private
I have also just started TikTok literally only have 50 followers I now feel so so guilty I just feel so proud of him and just want to show our day to day life
I don’t know what to do now
My mum also has him a lot and does ‘grandma day care’ post on fb and only has her friends and family on there too
I don’t know what to do & I feel as though I should be able to post what I want but also don’t want him in any danger

My mother in law has never really liked me. She called me a money grabbing slapper because her son earns good money and thinks I’m only with him and kept my child with him because of he’s money. Am I crazy for telling my partner to not have no contact with her for disrespecting me!

My mil isnt close to my daughter, rarley see her (her doing)
Which means she just doesnt get my daughters personality at all.
Social wise my daughter takes after me, shes not a people person, shes pretty shy and hates people in her face or trying to make her laugh when she's clearly not in the mood.
When we see her she will still get in my daughters face trying to make her laugh, grabbing at her legs or arms (in a fun way- in her eyes)
My daughter doesnt like it and gets upset/angry.
This happens every time!!!! Like wtf
I want them to have a relationship but its like my mil cant be botherd actually making one instead she has to act the clown!

When you bring it to his attention.. he says he's a guest in my home basically. But as soon as he comes over his first stop is literally the kitchen. Because he has no food at his house.. I'm starving to think he literally just wants to come over to eat and snack. When we first started talking.. I used to make him breakfast but once I realized he didn't deserve that i stopped. He drinks up damn near all the sodas and water in the fridge. Eats up all my kids snacks.. I came in the kitchen this morning with one pop tart left, after there was a total of 4 in there. 4 packs of crackers left but 8 total came in the lil box all together.. lastnight he was literally back and fourth in the kitchen.. had about 2 or 3 sodas and atleast 2 bags of chips. Ate a pack of ramen noodles.. which he goes after almost everytime he comes over.. I just put groceries in my house last week. He will come over mainly on weekends because he works.. but never seem to have any money to take care of himself. Am i wrong for getting fed up with this ??
