Breast milk
My midwife told me this trick and it’s honestly worked better for than any of the store bought balms or creams I have tried

Lansinoh nipple balm is really good, as it stops nipples getting dry & sore

Olive oil works really well

Honestly, I use breast milk. And it works great! I started doing that when I started getting lots of cracks from pumping. I started using breastmilk and no longer had cracks or painful pumps.

Nipple balm was more of a placebo for me, I thought it worked but midwife said it was too thick and didn’t let my nipples dry to heal. I thought they needed to be moist to heal be soothed. She suggested stopping using the balm or only using the tiniest amount, trying savoy cabbage in the fridge and putting a bit in my bra after feeds. WORKED AMAZINGLY 😂 so strange but the coolness of it soothed and apparently there’s something in the spine of the cabbage to heal you. Only for 5 mins then took my bra off completely to air them out.

Long periods of sitting

Help please! I know you can't lie flat on your back but are you allowed to sit propped up in bed leaning back for long periods?

I am so tired this pregnancy I can't sit straight up for very long before I flop back

tearful baby

my little one is seven weeks now and used to be so content but now is crying really nonstop whenever she's not asleep. we put her in her bouncer and she's fine as long as she's being actively bounced or she's feeding or asleep but every other time she's crying. we keep being told to start showing her more things or talking to her or doing tummy time but I literally don't know how when she's only crying constantly and never engaged enough for these things. has anyone else experienced this? it's not the crying on principle that's the problem, we're lucky that we even have things that can settle her, though obviously it always breaks your heart to see them cry. but more than that I just feel like I'm failing her because I can't settle her enough to be able to do these things that are apparently so important for her growth and strength and development. our health visitor asked us about her smiling and babbling at our six week appointment, neither of which she's doing, and I just feel like we're letting her down and she's slipping behind...

I need some toddler appropriate consequences for not listening/following instructions

To add to this is it a good idea to reward toddlers for doing what is expected of them ie brushing teeth, eating all their food etc? And at what point do you stop this as I don’t want my child to expect rewards as she gets older for doing things she’s supposed to.

Burping

How long are people burping their breastfed babies for and is this during a feed or just after? We think our little one might have quite a bit of trapped gas, he does a burp 80% of the time that we burp him but unsure if we should just continue until he does multiple?

Have you ever embarrassed yourself in front of others that you can’t forget ?

I tripped in a silent scene during a showing of a movie at a theater coming back from getting more popcorn and I dropped all the popcorn everywhere. I heard people laughing and I don’t blame them. People asked me if I was okay after too.
