Heartbreak how to move on

My daughters dad lives abroad so I had my daughter in March 2025 all alone. He cut us off a week before I gave birth. I hadn’t heard from him since until recently he’s told a family member he’s not her dad and he wants a dna test. It was a huge blow to my system because we both wanted the baby when I found out I was pregnant. He’s the first man I ever loved and the first man to get me pregnant. I’m so heartbroken we were together until he just cut us off and has been ignoring us ever since. I’m so heartbroken I get this tight pain in my chest I feel like I can’t breathe and the tears don’t stop flowing. I’ve cried everyday since giving birth.

That sounds like PPD and that’s your focus that’s keeping you down. I’d definitely talk to a therapist

I’m so sorry to hear that this had happened to you, no one deserves to go through that. My prayers go out to you and your baby girl, something similar to that happened to me 2023, I for sure thought I would never survive it, but I did. You will make it through this and u will find happiness and true love and a partner that is worthy of u and ur daughter, just to breath and take it one day at a time

My daughter's dad lives abroad too so I know what you mean by saying you had her all alone. In my case he keeps coming every now and then to see her but every time it's so hard. He knows nothing about being with our toddler, scolds her and has zero patience which destabilises our routine and my serenity. He also says (every time) how hard it is on him to have to pay me for our child support and diminishes all the hard work I'm doing to bring her up the way I believe is better.
Sometimes I wish he was just out of the picture, it feels like it would be easier.
Girl, put the responsibility about what he says on him. That says a lot about what kind of a person he is, you definitely deserve better.
Please take care 😘

This happened to my mum with me… and my dad moved to Australia a month before I was due. As I got older I asked her if she found it hard? She always replied “yes but I got you out of it” at the end of the day a man that can leave his family, not even to another part of the country but to a whole ass different country. Is a man you cannot trust again, and you’ll constantly be thinking what ifs. After my dad made his decision to move my mum never spoke to him again. She just moved on with life, 3 years later she met another man who I now call my dad. And have 2 amazing sisters. For me on the other end of it all. Of course I had questions but I always admired my mums strength to move on. One of her favourite things to say is “we don’t know how brave we are until being brave is the only choice we got” fast forward 23 years to now. I have my own baby. And sometimes I think my dad leaving was a good thing. You deserve the world and more for your baby. I hope you find peace x

Perfect prep machines

I have just read they are not recommended but we have the Tommee tippee one, has anyone used these and found them okay? If not how are people making formula?

My brother used a babybezza machine that dispensed hot water at the correct temperature and found this really helpful.

Would this be recommended?

Why do I feel like a bad mom?

My daughter is 1 and I know kids her age don't really understand the word "don't" or "stop" but we have a storm so we are in and out of power she kept saying dog because we were watching the live action Clifford movie so I was trying to connect back to WiFi while she was jumping on my bed. I told her to stop and sit down and next thing I know she fell off my bed! I heard her head hit the carpet and then all I heard next was her screaming like I've never heard before. I instantly picked her up to try and soothe her. She's sleeping right now because she had a long day and was already tired before the incident occurred. I feel so horrible and I can't stop crying. My mom called and I explained what happened to her and my stepdad even came in to check on her but no one else is answering me and I feel so alone right now. I don't know what to do. What signs should I look for when she wakes up? Does this make me a bad mom? Idk I just can't stop crying and I'm very shaken up. Please help 😭

Car seat hell - help

My lG hates the car seat, and I mean hates. She screams and screams every car journey to the point we have to pull over. Even if I’m sat in the back, fed well before, made sure she’s comfortable, nothing is helping and I am starting to become traumatised from going in the car as I’m worried she will stop breathing from screaming. My first was bad but this is on another level.

Any advice please

Postpartum nappies

Can anyone recommend any to buy? I used disposable pants and pads in my last pregnancy and I just found them to be rubbish and uncomfortable as the pads kept moving and leaking. I’m fancying trying the nappy style ones if anyone has any recommendations? I’m a size 20 so I struggle to find any on amazon that might actually fit me😂

Formula Amount

How much is everyone’s baby eating? Age, amount and how frequent?

My little boy is 7 weeks old and he has anything between 70ml-120ml every 2 hours! I always worry that the 70ml is too little but he’s gaining beautifully. Was 7lbs 10 at birth and is now 11lbs 8😬
