Why do I feel like a bad mom?

My daughter is 1 and I know kids her age don't really understand the word "don't" or "stop" but we have a storm so we are in and out of power she kept saying dog because we were watching the live action Clifford movie so I was trying to connect back to WiFi while she was jumping on my bed. I told her to stop and sit down and next thing I know she fell off my bed! I heard her head hit the carpet and then all I heard next was her screaming like I've never heard before. I instantly picked her up to try and soothe her. She's sleeping right now because she had a long day and was already tired before the incident occurred. I feel so horrible and I can't stop crying. My mom called and I explained what happened to her and my stepdad even came in to check on her but no one else is answering me and I feel so alone right now. I don't know what to do. What signs should I look for when she wakes up? Does this make me a bad mom? Idk I just can't stop crying and I'm very shaken up. Please help 😭

It doesn’t make you a bad mom, all babies fall off the bed at some point. Or off of something at least, if not the bed. She will be okay mama ❀ Google what to look out for and make sure none of those things are happening, if you feel really worried you can take her to the ER. If she only hit her head on the carpet she should be okay.

girl, please don’t beat yourself up. the exact same thing happened to me with my daughter a couple days ago during bedtime and I felt sooo horrible afterward. it literally happened within a 3 second span when I turned around to grab her some extra diapers, and before I could even turn back around she had fallen. I felt like the worst mom ever and kept replaying it in my head, but accidents really do happen so fast with these little ones. you’re NOT a bad mom. you were right there with her, you told her to stop, and you were trying to take care of everything at once. pls give yourself some grace

Hiya, it’s happened to me before and I just headed straight to the emergency room, they’re do a full body check and check the eyes and tell you to watch out for throwing up etc

It put my mind at ease cos I had severe anxiety and cried a lot

tearful baby

my little one is seven weeks now and used to be so content but now is crying really nonstop whenever she's not asleep. we put her in her bouncer and she's fine as long as she's being actively bounced or she's feeding or asleep but every other time she's crying. we keep being told to start showing her more things or talking to her or doing tummy time but I literally don't know how when she's only crying constantly and never engaged enough for these things. has anyone else experienced this? it's not the crying on principle that's the problem, we're lucky that we even have things that can settle her, though obviously it always breaks your heart to see them cry. but more than that I just feel like I'm failing her because I can't settle her enough to be able to do these things that are apparently so important for her growth and strength and development. our health visitor asked us about her smiling and babbling at our six week appointment, neither of which she's doing, and I just feel like we're letting her down and she's slipping behind...

Perfect prep machines

I have just read they are not recommended but we have the Tommee tippee one, has anyone used these and found them okay? If not how are people making formula?

My brother used a babybezza machine that dispensed hot water at the correct temperature and found this really helpful.

Would this be recommended?

Burping

How long are people burping their breastfed babies for and is this during a feed or just after? We think our little one might have quite a bit of trapped gas, he does a burp 80% of the time that we burp him but unsure if we should just continue until he does multiple?

Have you ever embarrassed yourself in front of others that you can’t forget ?

I tripped in a silent scene during a showing of a movie at a theater coming back from getting more popcorn and I dropped all the popcorn everywhere. I heard people laughing and I don’t blame them. People asked me if I was okay after too.
