This is my 4th baby. I hate that other than the last midwife appt where she was able to get a heartbeat I can’t feel the baby move still. I just want these reassurance flutters. I am just over 18 weeks now. Is it worth buying a Doppler device??? I’m so excited for the 20 week scan for reassurance.

I don’t think I started feeling baby move until 19-21 weeks.
Home use Dopplers are not recommended because you’re not trained in their use and because they don’t reliably tell you if baby is okay.

I used an at home doppler for my last pregnancy and for this one due to miltiple miss carriages and this pregnancy having an anterior placenta i dodnt really feel kicks til the 26 week mark.
The doppler gave me so much reassurance and eased my anxiety.

It depends on a few factors, feeling the baby. If in doubt, always go to the hospital. They'd rather see you, than not 👍 don't ever feel like you'd waste their time

Dopplers should never be used for reassurance so no, I wouldn't buy one.
My August baby decided she wanted to be a September baby! Liliana made her appearance on Friday at 1:20am via an assisted delivery - my induction and labour was horrific but it was all worth it to have this gorgeous girly in my arms!

Does anyone know if I can give gift bags to nhs staff? My baby was in hospital for a little while (not nicu) when she was born so thought it could be a nice yearly tradition to give some gifts to the staff of the ward to teach my baby about kindness and generosity

One of my biggest cravings has been a roll and bacon with tomato sauce. I go to college and 99% of the time I get a roll for breakfast. Is it petty if I speak to the woman who serves it, she always gives me bits of bacon with no fat and I feel like it ruins the roll. Tbf I’m likely going to throw it up anyway but I really want the fat, it’s the best part.

Just finished folding and putting it away a month of laundry (I’m 4 weeks post partum as of today) while hubby fed some of what I’d pumped to baby - and still need to shower and eat dinner. It’s 12:15 AM 😭

I feel so stressed.
Has anyone else had issues with numbness in their leg since their c section?
