My little boy is almost 7 months and we started weaning slightly early, so he’s probably been eating now for just over a month! We’ve tried to make it so he eats as similarly to us as possible - for example at the start he ate the raw/basic ingredients of our meals like if we had fajitas he’d have avocado and plain roasted versions of the veg. Now he’s moved on to no salt versions of what we eat and is loving it!
Tomorrow, I’m making veggie fish tacos but I make them with fake fish fingers lol, on Yuka they score 75/100 and have less than 1g of salt (only just) but obviously they are UPF, would you give it?? We eat very little food that we don’t make from scratch so it would really be a one off. I have tofu in as a back up so it still looks like our food(ish), I feel like I’m going crazy and I’m so worried of him not ending up with a good relationship with food 🫣
I’ve added a picture of his lil meal from tonight which was all from scratch just to make me feel better 😂

You’re fine with one offs. Just balance out the next few meals. My baby has had McDonald’s and he’s still okay 🙈

Just came to say: What a great meal mom! Well done ❤️

healthy and balanced meals are always the goal but life happens and everything will be fine as long as their is protein , fruits & veggies :)

Yep! Giving some UPFs isn’t going to create a bad relationship with food, if anything it’ll be better as it exposes him to a range of tastes and textures and doesn’t demonise one thing over another. Having fish fingers or similar once in a while isn’t what creates a picky eater (trust me we’ve been going through food refusal and a hard time with eating for a bit, it’s nothing to do with the meals he’s been given!)
Her daughter whose in reception gets off at 3, her son at 4:30, she wanted to pick her son up at 3 so she wouldnt have to drive back at 4:30 and the nursery told her she couldnt do that and her son HAD to stay until 4:30. When she complained they said it was illegal for her to do that!? Is this right?

I keep seeing posts about MILs (rarely positive)
How they are horrible and nasty some are, and then how annoying and over the top the rest are… and I honestly I get it, some mother in laws aren’t angels 😅
But I’m terrified that one day some woman will think that way about me! 😂
Just me?🥲 #boymum

My little boy is 4 weeks old and I cannot get anything done. He will not stay with anyone else, not even his dad. And he can tell if i'm not near him or if i put him down and stop holding him, then he will bawl out crying.
I don't know what to do, I don't have time to cook, eat, shower, go to the toilet, nothing if im not holding him. And dad likes to work ridiculous hours so I don't have much help.
I do use a sling yes and fortunately I do bottle feed breast milk since I left the hospital because dad wanted to help but this past week if it's not breast, he does not want it. I haven't even had time to pump as he's always on me.
Someone please help. I love him so much but I cannot breathe it's getting to me so badly.

Hey mamas please help me with any info you might have! My 14 month old has recently started rejecting me heavily. He’s still breastfed and I’m his primary care giver. Whenever dad is home he’s all about daddy. It’s been like that for a while, but lately it’s gotten a lot worse. He’s started being mean to me when he’s home, pushing me away, going to him for everything. It breaks my heart. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice? Thanks!

Basically I've been with my partner for 16 years, we've got a 6 year old and now have 4 month old twins. When my oldest was born he hardly helped out at all, only when he started getting older and now its been the same with my twins. I honestly thought it would be different this time around, but I've been doing everything with my twins, all the feeds, nappy changes, taking them out and going to baby classes things like that. I ask him for help but he will make us excuses like ' they will fall asleep on me' ' my back hurts' or he will be in the middle of playing his game and will say ' i can't pause it'
We recently had an argument and haven't spoken properly since which is making things alot worse.
Do I try and salvage this? Or leave?
