Can I have a rant please?

Basically I've been with my partner for 16 years, we've got a 6 year old and now have 4 month old twins. When my oldest was born he hardly helped out at all, only when he started getting older and now its been the same with my twins. I honestly thought it would be different this time around, but I've been doing everything with my twins, all the feeds, nappy changes, taking them out and going to baby classes things like that. I ask him for help but he will make us excuses like ' they will fall asleep on me' ' my back hurts' or he will be in the middle of playing his game and will say ' i can't pause it'

We recently had an argument and haven't spoken properly since which is making things alot worse.
Do I try and salvage this? Or leave?

IS THAT THE ONLY ISSUE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP??
WEAPONIZED INCOMPETENCE IS SO ANNOYING TO DEAL WITH

I’m shocked that he is making you take care of twins by yourself. He does nothing???

Hi, I have a 3 yr old and 9 month old twins and had a very similar situation to you. I kicked my partner out when the twins were 7 weeks old and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. If he is playing his PlayStation while letting you struggle with twins, then there is not much to salvage I’m afraid.

We were together nearly 8 years and I’m glad it wasn’t 9. 16 years is a long time but it’s not worth spending any longer with someone who is not treating you right.

And twins are HARD WORK, no one really understands how difficult they are unless you have them yourself. And you’re probably too stressed and tired to even enjoy spending time with them, those are memories and lovely moments he is taking away from you with his his selfishness. You are already rearing three kids essentially alone, so leaving will make things easier (he sounds like a fourth child tbh).

The choice is yours, but I hope you leave him. I feel like I’ve gotten a new lease on life after getting out.

Salvage it and don’t have more kids, focus on the ones you have and give them the very best… You can be in a relationship and be selfish with yourself.. Lots of men all over the world still believe a child is for the mom alone…

yes you can rant. i believe that it’s absolutely unfair. faced the same struggles. some men want woman to take all the childcare on their backs. it’s unfair for woman to have no help bc her nature is nurturing. 🫩 it’s unfair.

Do nurseries and the school system own our children? My sis put her 2 year old son into nursery and wanted to pick him up early and the nursery wouldnt allow her :/

Her daughter whose in reception gets off at 3, her son at 4:30, she wanted to pick her son up at 3 so she wouldnt have to drive back at 4:30 and the nursery told her she couldnt do that and her son HAD to stay until 4:30. When she complained they said it was illegal for her to do that!? Is this right?

MILs

I keep seeing posts about MILs (rarely positive)
How they are horrible and nasty some are, and then how annoying and over the top the rest are… and I honestly I get it, some mother in laws aren’t angels 😅
But I’m terrified that one day some woman will think that way about me! 😂

Just me?🥲 #boymum

Overwhelmed

My little boy is 4 weeks old and I cannot get anything done. He will not stay with anyone else, not even his dad. And he can tell if i'm not near him or if i put him down and stop holding him, then he will bawl out crying.

I don't know what to do, I don't have time to cook, eat, shower, go to the toilet, nothing if im not holding him. And dad likes to work ridiculous hours so I don't have much help.

I do use a sling yes and fortunately I do bottle feed breast milk since I left the hospital because dad wanted to help but this past week if it's not breast, he does not want it. I haven't even had time to pump as he's always on me.

Someone please help. I love him so much but I cannot breathe it's getting to me so badly.

Baby rejecting me?

Hey mamas please help me with any info you might have! My 14 month old has recently started rejecting me heavily. He’s still breastfed and I’m his primary care giver. Whenever dad is home he’s all about daddy. It’s been like that for a while, but lately it’s gotten a lot worse. He’s started being mean to me when he’s home, pushing me away, going to him for everything. It breaks my heart. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice? Thanks!

Food portion sizes

What sort of portion size is everyone giving their 6 moths old? Are they finishing it all or leaving some, and are they one just the 1 meal per day?
