Contraception after birth
Hey mamas! I’m due my 6 weeks postnatal this Thursday. I was just looking to see what contraception to consider. After my first son I tried the 2 months injection and that made me put on weight so much and never had my period whilst I was on it, with the pills, they also made me gain so much weight. I want to consider the copper coil, any mamas to share their experience? Just so I can weigh my options. TIA

Hi same reasons for non hormonal copper coil! Just had my copper coil fitting on Friday morning, had no symptoms that day, Saturday started spotting and light cramping, Sunday was heavier bleeding and strong cramps so I was taking paracetamol. Was scared it will continue but yesterday I felt better already and the bleeding became lighter. Today no cramping anymore, just light bleeding still
Hi. I got the copper iud a little over a year ago. Had some cramping the day of but haven’t had any problems at all.
I’m going to get the coil as well for these reasons, mind you I’m 6 weeks pp and honestly can’t be bothered with someone digging through me again 😂😭

Did anyone opt for the copper coil during their C-section?
When I spoke with the consultant, she put it on my consent form to have the hormone coil during my C-section. However, a lot of the things she said are making me change my mind (she said I could cross it out if I no longer want it). Just wondering if anyone got it before? Just not sure if it's for me, as I never been on birth control in my life

Back to work
I’m back to work today!! And baby is going to nursery for her first day 😓 she’s had her settle sessions and now she has a cold and diarrhoea so they said I may have to come get her if the diarrhoea continues. I’m just so upset leaving her 8:30-5:30, and I’m not home until 6:20pm so dad is picking her up. I just feel really horrible about it all even though I’m only part time, also still breastfeeding and trying to switch to combi 😭
