Blood Thinner Injections

My first baby I didn’t get any injections as my BMI wasn’t high enough and I had no risk factors.

My second baby my BMI was 35 so I got 10 days worth.

Lucky with 10 days lol I had emergency c section and had the injections for 6 weeks after

I had them for a hip replacement, they are not as scary as they sound, just make sure you use a different place everyday it’ll be okay, also I found a bit of ice on the site afterward helped a bit. Xx

I was given 10 days of injections I didn't have a csection but I was induced.

I was given 6 weeks of injections. I had an elective section but lost almost 2L of blood and had to have 2x transfusions. Plus my BMI was over 40

I had to have them for 6 weeks, due to a hemorrhage at birth and I lost 1.5 litres of blood. I've never had a C section

Have had them for my first trimester. I hate them, however, the trick is to ice the area, administer it sitting down (if on the abdomen) and not to rub the area after. Alternate sides. You'll be ok - I'm really scared of needles and have to take several injections each day.

You can get Emla cream from the chemist which might help! You have my sympathies, I did almost 3 months of twice daily progesterone injections 😬
