1st time mum

On my first baby I had an induction and everything was alright. I also have a friend that recently underwent induction (different) method and it was a VBAC so was a second baby her first was C section and was long but was OK as well. There will be always positive and negative stories. Hopefully you will be going into labor soon 🤗 also you can denied it unless you have some medical problems ? You could go further

I’d just make sure you research all the different methods and risks and decide what you are comfortable with and at what point you’d rather opt for a section.

What is the reason they are asking you to go for either of those instead of waiting?

I had an induction on my due date with my first and it went smoothly. I think it comes down to how your body responds to it and since everyone's different there's always going to be a mix of positive and negative experiences. Since I had no problems first time I've decided to opt for induction on my due date again this time.

I had a super positive induction with my first baby at 39 weeks, I’ve wrote about it in the comments on a few posts down. Second baby went spontaneously at 36+6. Currently on third baby and electing to get induced this week due to big baby and super bad pelvic girdle pain but more then happy to be induced due to my positive experience before. C-section is my absolute no no unless it’s life or death.

Have they told you how they plan to induce you? I’m in a similar position in that my consultant wants to induce me at 39 weeks. I’m not overly keen as I’d rather avoid a medicated birth.

If there's no medical need for induction and you are well & baby is well. You can choose to wait. Also your due date is an estimation, not definite. They suggest various things but it's really your choice whether you accept or not. :) xxx
