My 5 week old is currently drinking 150ml every 3 hours but for the past few days he’s been showing hunger cues every 1.5/2 hours. On my kendamil tub it says 150ml is recommended for 3 month olds but I’m worried he’s not getting enough food. Do I up his formula to 180ml or keep topping him up? I worry if I just top him up each time he’s gonna end up drinking less more frequently as each top up we only give him 90ml as don’t want to overfeed him. Picture added of my squish 🥰

My midwife told me if theyre consistently draining the bottle to up the feed. Theyll take as much as they want. I know my son was taking more than recommended on the tin too, always has done. Every baby is different. If he doesnt seem settled and is still hungry, now even quicker than before you can always try it, if it doesnt workout for whatever reason then reduce back down

It’s only an average figure. If they want more they probably need it

I recommend continuing with his normal amount & if he wants more maybe give him more. My daughter was a preemie so once she was able
To come home feeding was my top priority to ensure she was gaining weight. She would take her normal amount and sometimes in 1hr 1/2 ask for more. I called them snacks and give her one once more.

My 6 week old has just went up to 6oz, health visitor told me to feed her on demand and if she’s draining the bottles to give her more if she wants it ❤️ you can definitely up it x

Ignore the tin my 2024 baby used to be the next amount up on the tin well before the suggested age and ate every 2.5-3 hours he was feeding 10-12 times a day at one point feed on demand and how ever much they want

my baby used to drink about that at the same time shes doing completely fine and it was completely fine in the moment also, if your baby's hungry its hungry!

My baby is nearly 4 months and drinks 7oz, most bottles she will drink the lot, occasionally will only drink 5 or 6 oz but I still always make 7oz. Better to make more and they will stop when they’re full then not make enough and have to keep topping up x
Just out of curiosity when did your LOs start sleeping through the night?
I know sleep regressions exist and each baby is different but wondering if there is some kind of average.
Our LO is 6 weeks and goes between 3-5h at night, aware there is still a way to go!

Please help! My 1.5 year old hasn’t stopped biting at daycare. If she bites 3 more times they are kicking her out. Please any suggestions help. I’m at a loss and I don’t want her to lose her routine. Her 3.5 year old sister goes to the same daycare and is thriving.

I have a cold, everyone in the house has had it. Our 3 year old caught it from nursery, quickly passed it on to our 5 month old and my husband. Somehow I managed to avoid it, I looked after everyone, 3yo was off nursery, sleepless nights with baby as she couldn't breathe in her bassinet so spent hours sleeping up on my chest through the night, so I had to be awake to let her sleep.
Now everyone is better and it has hit me like a ton of bricks. My eyes and nose won't stop running, my throat feels like I've swallowed shards of glass, and I'm still the one who got up at 6am with the kids, got both of them ready, took my son to nursery, ran errands, and then tonight I'm thinking finally when my 3yo goes to bed, I can go to bed too and my husband can watch the baby. Nope, he takes 3yo up to bed at 6. Usually he's asleep by 6.30. 7pm goes by and I'm thinking what is taking so long.. 7.15, 7.30pm... I finally go upstairs to check and my husband has fallen asleep in the bed with our son, and I can't risk waking our son. I tried getting my husband to wake but he was zonked out. So now I'm just sat here, I feel so utterly drained and in pain and all I want is to sleep and I'm just upset and mad that I'm always the one putting everyone first and making sure everyone has what they need and looking after everyone else and now I'm just sat here, baby crying, I'm crying, I just want a break for one evening.
Yes I should've taken 3yo to bed and then maybe it would've worked out better but my husband never falls asleep, I dunno why he did tonight because he's feeling better and slept in this morning.

Please tell me I’m not alone in this 😅 ever since my baby’s 16w jabs she has hit a sleep regression - fighting all day naps and impossible to get down for bed. Her feeding is all over the place and I can see she’s tired/grouchy but she fights every opportunity to sleep. She used to sleep 9-6. When does it get better? 😭😭
