Is it a sure fired bet that I will develop GD? After my first, I used MJ to stabilise my blood sugars. Just came off before conceiving so quite concerned about how I will fair. Does anyone have advice for things you can do early on to lessen the effects or is there any extra help you might get from the off? Are you treated as a pregnant diabetic on the assumption you will be? It would be great to hear of any experiences you might have had? (UK based)

I wasn't tested with my first because I wasn't at the age, tested with my second and had it, tested with my third and didn't. I was sure it was a forgone conclusion that I'd have it so it was a nice surprise not to.

Hi, congratulations on your pregnancy! ❤️
I live here in Germany, and because I had gestational diabetes during my first pregnancy and needed insulin, I was told that if I had a second baby, it would probably come back. They also told me that as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I should contact the diabetes center again.
In my case, I needed quite a lot of insulin, with several injections during the day and at night. But I understand that for other women, gestational diabetes doesn’t necessarily come back, especially if it was a milder case.
I think you’ll probably just have to do the glucose test, and then they’ll see how things are for you.
Wishing you lots of success and all the best with your pregnancy! ❤️
Hi all, I started back on work Tuesday after a year off, my lg is 10 and half months old I also have a 5 year old who’s in y1.
I only work 3 days a week Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. I honestly feel so run down already and I’ve only done my second day I honestly don’t know how I’m going to do this for the foreseeable it’s just constant. I have so much to do yet I’m sat here eating cake and a super noodle for my tea because I don’t have the energy or time to cook my self anything.
I’m a hairdresser and I just feel mentally and physically drained already. Does it get easier

🫣 Posting anonymously because I’m not quite ready to put this out there yet…
I’d love some opinions from other moms! I’m wondering if there’s a possibility I could be pregnant, but I’m trying not to convince myself based on symptoms. 😂
My period is expected in about 5 days, and lately I’ve been EXTREMELY tired/exhausted. Tonight I suddenly started feeling really nauseous and needed a ginger chew, which is unusual for me. I also noticed my breast milk supply seemed unusually low recently.
The weirdest thing is that when I was pregnant with my daughter, tomatoes/red sauce made me incredibly sick. Tonight we had pasta with red sauce, and afterward I started feeling really nauseous again. 🤢
I’ve also noticed that my boobs look HUGE after pumping, which is something I specifically remember happening when I was pregnant with my daughter before I even knew I was pregnant.
I have been testing, but so far I’ve gotten negative pregnancy tests. The thing is, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I also took multiple negative tests. I kept testing and testing, and it wasn’t until I was around 7–8 weeks pregnant that I finally got a very obvious positive. So the negatives right now aren’t necessarily making me feel completely convinced either way. 😅
I know PMS can cause a lot of the same symptoms, and breastfeeding can make cycles and hormones unpredictable, so I’m trying to stay realistic. But with the nausea, exhaustion, breast changes, lower supply, and the fact that some of this feels eerily similar to my last pregnancy… I’m definitely wondering. 👀
For those of you who found out you were pregnant before your missed period, did you have symptoms like this? Did you get negative tests at first and then eventually get a positive? And has anyone else noticed their breasts looking especially large/full after pumping as an early pregnancy symptom?
Would love to hear your experiences/opinions because I’m driving myself crazy trying to figure out if I’m imagining things or if my body is trying to tell me something. 😂❤️

I’m being induced this Saturday at 37+1, so ready to meet the little one. Any last minute tips for making my life/labor/induction easier? Feels like I’m forgetting everything since my first.

Hey everyone. So, I've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 34 weeks and I'm trying not to panic, so I would really appreciate hearing about anyone who's got it/had it before and what it means practically for me and baby boy/the birth. It's my first child so I'm just overwhelmed 😭 any advice or reassurance is appreciated!

I’m in utter agony and the thought of Gavascon makes me want to vomit. It’s been so bad today I’ve barely eaten, I’ve been sick and was close to going into hospital I was so lethargic. The pain is horrific.
