MMRV

Has anyone declined the Mmrv for their 1 year old? If so, why? Would just like to see people’s view points who are against these vaccines. This isn’t a debate just interested if many have the same view as myself.

I’m very interested in this as my baby clocks 1 next month

Im considering it but my lo is only 7 months old. It's just the chicken pox vaccine I dont want her to have but will be paying privately at the pharmacy for the mmr.

I honestly cannot wait for it. It's a well established vaccine (the MMR at least) and I do not want my little girl to get measles because others aren't vaccinating their kids these days. It's such an infectious disease

Is it the chickenpox part that worries you, as it’s a new addition in the uk?

It’s ben used in other countries for longer and is as safe as other vaccines.

It also sucks to get and then you can also get shingles which is much worse!

Well the people that caused a chicken pox outbreak at my daughters nursery clearly did. What their motivation was is unclear.

Jokes aside most people that refuse vaccines are either misinformed or scared into believing some sort of conspiracy. I’ve never seen one argument that would make sense apart from allergies. Anything else is fabricated fear.

Thinning hair

Has anyone found anything that genuinely helps hair getting thicker? I used to have the thickest hair, down to my bum. Then after I had my son it just won’t stop falling out. Even now, I’m nearly 15 months PP and every day clumps of hair are falling out, even when I’m sleeping and roll over strands of hair get wrapped around my neck or hands. My hair line is so thin you can just see scalp, and if it wasn’t for how long it is, I’d genuinely look bald. Really starting to worry and stress out about it.

Kids are mind blowing!

My 8 year old daughter cut off her eyelashes at school because her friend told her it was a good idea… I am sick. I genuinely cannot wrap my mind around this. Drop you’re experiences in the comments 😭

Breastfeeding 🤱

I’m exclusively breastfeeding and since birth my 8 week old is constantly feeding. She won’t settle unless she’s on me. She won’t take to a bottle for dad to feed her and she won’t take to a dummy. Is anyone else’s baba like this? Any advise would be appreciated! 🫶🏽

What do you do to help your kids decompress after school?

My 3 year old started last week and only wants to watch TV when she comes home. I’ve been letting her because it’s a big transition and she’s too tired out to do much else but I feel like she’s not getting much of a chance to calm down before bedtime!

Am I being over sensitive?

Met up with a friend over the summer, she noticed i was stressed and apologies for not offering any support earlier. For context, I have complex needs toddler .She offered to accompany me on a long haul flight with the toddler. I was overjoyed with this plan.Weeks later she send me an email thread confirming it is not advised she misses 2 days of her master's course.she didn't attempt to shorten the trip ,she jus cancelled.I was crushed but moved on .Today, she messaged the master's is having an open ceremony and she is asking me to attend on a Saturday evening.Its in another city, I told her I have no child care.She suggested I take the medically complex toddler with me , on the train and will end of having 1.5 hrs train ride in each direction in the late evening/night ,days before my long haul flight. I'm upset she asked, is not an important event.Am I overreacting?
