Thinning hair

Has anyone found anything that genuinely helps hair getting thicker? I used to have the thickest hair, down to my bum. Then after I had my son it just won’t stop falling out. Even now, I’m nearly 15 months PP and every day clumps of hair are falling out, even when I’m sleeping and roll over strands of hair get wrapped around my neck or hands. My hair line is so thin you can just see scalp, and if it wasn’t for how long it is, I’d genuinely look bald. Really starting to worry and stress out about it.

So sorry to hear this.

Have you had your thyroid, iron and ferretin levels checked? It's really important to see if there's an underlying cause.

Head massage and
Champo hair oil has worked for me in the past, but it doesn't work for everyone. Rosemary oil works for some people.

Mine is still falling out in handfuls. But I have PCOS so Im not surprised. It is distressing though

Have you had your thyroid checked? Any other symptoms? Ive been the same and found out this week ive got an overactive thyroid and need medication. Ive lost 3 stone, feel hot and sweaty all the time, get heart palpitations and dizziness etc. Check to see if theres anything else going on. Hair loss can also be caused by hypoactive thyroid too x

I have suffered hair loss a few times now and theres 4 things, which when done together help me.
1) Take biotin supplement daily.
2) Drink at least 2 litres of fluid per day.
3) Have 60-80g of protein per day (food or shakes/drinks).
4) Take a multivitamin daily.

I would also suggest using a hair mask once per week if you can but once per month is fine, keep you hair loose and low, get your iron levels checked with GP. I do hope it gets better for you hun. ❤️ x

Mine pretty much fell out pp and has stayed thin and horrible- like you super thick hair before. I’ve been using champoo vita for a year the whole system- it’s not a miracle worker but I have lots of regrowth it’s just come back thin- I think I’m going to start minoxidil. I can’t right now as Ive just found out I’m pregnant but hopefully in years time if it has come back I will x

Sending you so much love, I know exactly how distressing this is 💛 Hair loss is rarely just one thing — it could be stress, sleep, how much support you have, even the water you wash it in (hard vs soft water genuinely makes a difference), or what you’re eating/nutrient levels. Worth looking at the whole picture rather than one quick fix.

For me it happened both times I gave birth, and my hair loss was horrendous — it came down to stress more than anything. I realised I wasn’t actually in a safe, supported environment (things with my husband and in-laws were really hard) and I had zero sleep with a newborn on top of that. What helped was starting to set boundaries — even the “small” things that feel crossed still send your body into stress mode. I also gave myself permission to just focus on bonding with my baby and let the cooking/cleaning wait. Once I did that, my hair genuinely started coming back — I actually did a full buzz cut for first birth of my son.

Feeding to Sleep

Hey I’m a FTM and during the height of my baby’s 6-8 week fussiness I started feeding him to sleep as it was the only thing that worked. He’s 9 weeks now and wondering what other methods yall do to get your baby to sleep? He really struggles to get to deep sleep any other way except feeding or baby wearing

Pacifier issues

My baby is 7 months and never taken on or used a pacifier and I am wanting to get him to take one in the evening.

Has anyone successfully gotten their baby to take a paci at such an older age? If so, I how did you do it? What strategies did you have?

TIA x

Breast milk available!!

I’m looking to give away a bunch of my breast milk if anyone needs any. I’m collecting an average of 60oz every 24 hours so my deep freezer is FULL. I don’t want to have to pour it out because I know there are moms/babies in need. PLEASE reach out if you are interested or know of someone who could use it.

Kids are mind blowing!

My 8 year old daughter cut off her eyelashes at school because her friend told her it was a good idea… I am sick. I genuinely cannot wrap my mind around this. Drop you’re experiences in the comments 😭

4 Months Regression Exhaustion

My LO will be 4 months old tomorrow, EBF and has a high energy temperament.

He seemed to hit the regression about 4 weeks ago when he started waking hourly at night. I’m absolutely exhausted and he isn’t even 4 months yet. I 90% of the time feed back to sleep as it’s easier than rocking.

I use huckleberry so watch wake windows, sleepy signals and have been playing around with length of naps but nothing seems to help. He also feeds pretty well during the day so not worried he is relying on night calories. I bring him into bed with me after the first couple of wakes just because he goes down quicker but I don’t really sleep as I’m scared to.

Mums who have been through this before, does it get better on its own or am I going to have to do some kind of training?

I’m on the brink already, this isn’t sustainable. And this surely can’t be good for him waking so regularly?
