I’m 4’11 and currently eating 1850 calories but all the calculators out there say I should be eating around 1600.
What was your caloric intake take in first trimester and if you don’t mind sharing height and weight too! Trying to just gauge if I’m really that far off

I’m 5’3, was 140 and ate 2,400 in first trimester. I was extremely active and pretty fit prior to pregnancy so that was about 200 more than my maintenance.
I found that I gained a lot of weight during pregnancy regardless of how much I ate. Which mathematically doesn’t make sense, I know.
Instead of worrying about calories, I encourage you to just eat whole foods and lots of protein. Go for walks everyday and just enjoy the season.

I never had a specific number, but if that’s what you’ve been doing then I wouldn’t worry about changing it much. You definitely need to eat more because you’re growing a baby but first trimester is already difficult so eat what you can and eat as healthy as you can and if that’s more or less of what you’re currently eating then that’s fine. Just don’t starve yourself as you go throughout your pregnancy. Just make sure you eat when you can so you don’t get sick or nauseous.

You should focus on eating nutritional meals with lots of proteins and veggies/good carbs but don't limit yourself to a number or to eat what you are craving. Your body is wise. I think you need to have that conversation with your doctor.

5'7" and 170 lbs hourglass before pregnancy. I didn't waste a single second counting calories. Now in 23rd week, 180 lbs still hourglass from the front, little belly but it's my first pregnancy so I haven't "popped" yet. How much do you weigh? I don't think you should worry about a calorie deficit during this time, just be active and eat mostly whole foods.

I was 5’7 135lbs and could barely make it passed 1000 calories a day in my first trimester. I had twins if that makes a difference idk but I was so sick just smelling food made me throw up.
I lost about 4 pounds in my 1st tri then once my second trimester hit the appetite came back and I was able to eat and move again like a normal human being and all my weight came back lol my docs told me if I can eat one nutritionally dense meal a day and a snack then I would be fine.

Don’t worry about calories! Focus on eating nutrient dense meals and you should feel full from that!!
I’m 94 lbs! I ate 1750 pre-pregnancy but upped it to 1850 once I found out I was pregnant!
What scared me were all those calculators out there saying I should be eating less around 1650 so I was just curious!

I’m 5’0 and 116 pounds. I never counted calories. The other commenters are right. Don’t spend time worrying about it. Eat when you’re hungry and think about hitting all of your food groups. You are going to be using soooo much energy creating this life.
I had my first son at 39 weeks on the dot now I’m pregnant with my second I’ll be 39 weeks tomorrow I didn’t think it would be possible that I would be pregnant longer the second time round I’m so frustrated now as I keep telling myself any day now this happen to anyone else?😭

How are you guys dealing with anxiety this early? I found out on 9dpo (now 12dpo) so I’m 4 weeks tomorrow. I had a MC in February at 12 weeks so feeling super anxious this time around. I can’t help thinking every cramp or heartburn feels bad. Became a serial tester as well. Just waiting to get a dye stealer before contacting my chosen hospital.
How do you guys deal with the anxiety around it? I know I’m going to get an early scan at 7 weeks to make sure (assuming my lines carry on being dark)
