I’m over it

**STORY TIME because I really need to get this off my chest…**

I’ve been through A LOT with my youngest daughter’s father. While I was pregnant, I was grieving my brother and my mom, and instead of being there for me, he made everything about himself. He cheated, disrespected me, told me to shut the fuck up while I was pregnant, and still expected me to keep showing up like nothing happened.

And his family? Please. I helped his mother. I helped his grandmother. I showed love, brought food, put food in that refrigerator, and helped whenever I could. I never asked for anything in return, but somehow I couldn’t even get a simple THANK YOU. Instead, I got disrespect.

And after I had my C-section, did anybody check on ME? Did anybody ask how I was healing? If I was okay? If I needed anything? Not one damn person. I had just gone through major surgery while taking care of a newborn, and somehow everybody was worried about everything except the woman who just gave birth except my family (shoutout to them)

Then I’m in the hospital in pain, getting induced with OUR daughter, and he’s sitting on the couch and going outside to smoke instead of comforting me. Then questioning if the baby is his because she doesn’t look like him. Like please—genetics don’t stop at your damn face.

And every time I speak about how I feel, I’m told to shut the fuck up. Even making a comment about pushing me off a train platform and laughing about it was completely out of line.

But here’s the part everybody needs to understand: I remember EVERYTHING. I remember who I helped when I didn’t have to. I remember who I fed. I remember who I showed love to. I remember who I stood beside. And I remember exactly how y’all treated me when I was the one who needed love and support.

I’m not bitter. I’m just DONE. I don’t regret having a good heart, but I damn sure regret giving that good heart to people who took advantage of it.

You can’t disrespect me over and over and then expect the same woman who kept forgiving you to keep showing up. That woman is gone. My kindness has an expiration date, and y’all used yours up.

I’m taking my energy, my peace, and my love back. My babies come first, and I will never again lose myself trying to prove my worth to people who already showed me they didn’t appreciate me.

No revenge. No begging. No more chances. Just distance, peace, and a life where none of this bullshit gets access to me anymore.

he sounds like a narcissist, i went through and still am going through something similar with my now ex and my kids father. He also claims our youngest isn’t his because we went 6 years no protection and never gotten pregnant then one day there’s 2 pink lines on the test.Hes also a narcissist and because of the years of emotional abuse and constant cheating etc i developed a trauma bond and now ive been fighting like hell to break it.Im so damn proud of you for having the strength and courage to move on and better yourself and your life. You don’t need them, protect your peace and i promise you, 1 day karma will come back to bite them in the ass and they will see how good your doing in life and regret how they treated you.His family at least, narcissists don’t change unless they want to or until they get therapy help, keep your head up girl! If you ever wanna vent or talk, i’m a message away! ❤️

Im struggling and my partner doesn't get it

Im 2 weeks postpartum and im really struggling, im not saying ive been a saint during our relationship because ive been far from it, I know my partner is struggling to create a bond with our daughter but I feel so alone, ive done every night feed, every day feed and everything else in-between, he does things such as washing bottles etc but i feel like im running on empty, im really struggling with an identity crisis and I feel like an imposter in my own body, it was also a traumatic birth which replays in my mind all day every day and im struggling with that, I do suffer with my mental health but I have never felt more alone then I do right in the moment, I think my partner feels neglected in some way and he believes that I dont make an effort like I used to but how can I do anything when I do feel and look like myself anymore, im honestly really struggling

Holiday with a toddler at night

What does everyone do on holiday when staying in a hotel with a toddler?

Our toddler has had his own room at home since he was a baby, so we’ve never really had to share a room with him. We tried a hotel room when he was younger and it was an absolute car crash. He kept waking up, seeing us and wanting to play! We tried putting him in bed with us and he just thought it was play time bouncing on the bed. We didn’t sleep for a week.

We’re going to Greece in 3 weeks and have booked a suite, but unfortunately the bedroom is open plan with no divider between our bed and our toddler’s bed.

Has anyone used anything to create a bit of separation in a hotel room that actually works? A travel room divider, blackout screen, curtain or anything similar? Would love to hear what you’ve used!

Americans please can I have your opinions

My kid has been in school in the UK and has learnt all sight words and can read fluently. He is in grade 1 in America now and while doing sight words was graded as incorrect for his pronunciation of the word 'been,' he said it as in 'seen,' 'keen,' or even 'bean' but the teacher said that the correct pronunciation is 'bin' as in 'sin' or 'in' with a 'buh' sound at the beginning (I hope I'm making sense)

Before I say anything to the teacher I'd like to get your thoughts. What is correct?
