We used velcro swaddles until she started rolling then swapped to sleeping bags

We have sleep sacks but with our son we just used blankets (he wasn't allowed sleep sacks due to being breech)

Our LG was born October 2024 so we used the tommee tippee sleepbags that you can swaddle in until she could roll when we undid the arm poppers so her arms were out. We did vest, sleepsuit and the swaddle sleepbags and she was warm enough.
Have a look on vinted as people sell them on there cheap (£4-5 a bag instead of £20 new), we got ours on there and just washed them before we used them

Tommee tippee gro bags, theres a lot of info graphics based on what baby should be dressed in for bed based on the temp of your room x

Congratulations on your pregnancy by the way. When my daughter was born she had to be swaddled as she wouldn’t sleep else. Once she was more comfortable not being swaddled we changed to sleeping sacks. 2.5 togs are good for the winter months. But it wouldn’t hurt getting 1.5 tog sacks as well. On a side note, we bought a thermometer for my daughter’s room. Highly recommend it as it meant i could dress my baby not too warm or too cold for when it was bedtime.

Swaddling is not considered safe as they need to have their arms free. You can use sleep sacks although depending on the size of your baby, you might not be able to use them straight away. You can just put them in a sleep suit with a body suit underneath or even a sleep suit and a blanket- look at how to use a blanket safely eg under the arms, baby at the bottom of the cot

We used those sleep sacks that’s just arms and a sack. It reminds me of closing a bag of potatoes when you put it on them lol. We did those until she grew them. They have mittens built-in they zip or button up the front and the bottom is a drawstring. Just regular jammies never did anything extra. We were very basic - don’t believe in anything extra like wipe warmers, bottle warmers, etc.

Im struggling and my partner doesn't get it

Im 2 weeks postpartum and im really struggling, im not saying ive been a saint during our relationship because ive been far from it, I know my partner is struggling to create a bond with our daughter but I feel so alone, ive done every night feed, every day feed and everything else in-between, he does things such as washing bottles etc but i feel like im running on empty, im really struggling with an identity crisis and I feel like an imposter in my own body, it was also a traumatic birth which replays in my mind all day every day and im struggling with that, I do suffer with my mental health but I have never felt more alone then I do right in the moment, I think my partner feels neglected in some way and he believes that I dont make an effort like I used to but how can I do anything when I do feel and look like myself anymore, im honestly really struggling

Americans please can I have your opinions

My kid has been in school in the UK and has learnt all sight words and can read fluently. He is in grade 1 in America now and while doing sight words was graded as incorrect for his pronunciation of the word 'been,' he said it as in 'seen,' 'keen,' or even 'bean' but the teacher said that the correct pronunciation is 'bin' as in 'sin' or 'in' with a 'buh' sound at the beginning (I hope I'm making sense)

Before I say anything to the teacher I'd like to get your thoughts. What is correct?

Welp...

The feeling when your baby is sleeping peacefully so you get yourself ready for bed (a rarity) and snuggle into bed when all of a sudden you hear him take the world's biggest poop 😭 and the kicker is, he fussed for a second then FELL BACK ASLEEP. Like this is the ONE time I need you to stay awake so I can change your diaper.... Then you can fall back asleep 😭😭 send help

My baby has been sleeping since his dream feed at 10.30pm and it is now 3.30am - he’s formula fed and putting on weight just fine x
