unfortunately we regressed a few times, daycare put her in pull ups for their convenience.

I have a girl,
We switched seats a few times and the ladder helped A LOT,
it kinda just shifted to hmmm she drank something, baby let's go potty

🫣🙃 Commando went well until she thought she had it under control without wiping that was a terrible couple weeks but seems to have been helpful after the fact

This is the second time trying she's done better than the first time, the problem is she doesn't know when she needs to go but she tells me when she has had a wee, I'm trying to find a potty that she enjoys sitting on she uses the ladder every morning, nappy comes straight off after waking up

Really is, never heard of the 2 piece before

Bare bum it for atleast 3 days. No pants, nothing. They will wee quite a bit on the first day but always take them to sit on the potty straight after. Keep them at home for the week and just be consistent with it. I made the mistake of resorting to pull ups whenever my son went out and it just made everything so long. Looking back I should have put my foot down and said he needs to be at home until he gets the hang of recognising when he needs to wee.

Nanny

Has anyone ever paid for a nanny to come to your house just to do the morning so you can get a bit of sleep?
My baby wakes 5 am every day, Monday to Sunday, it’s exhausting. When she goes to bed I have to get everything done quickly, sometimes I don’t even eat just so I go to bed early so I can get up with her at 5 am. It’s slowly killing me. I haven’t done anything for myself, watched a movie, or even had a pamper night in months.
I am happy to pay for, just on a Sunday, someone do to a couple of hours with her just so I can have a little relax and chill, my anxiety is at an all time high and I’m just shattered. Is this a thing or am I making up jobs now?? lol.
I have tried everything to make her sleep longer, you name it, I’ve done it. I understand this comes with being a mum, but just every second Sunday just so I can have a bit of me time, just to recharge my batteries…

Would you take your 2/3 week old to a family birthday event?

My husband’s uncle is having a big birthday trip (2-3hrs drive away) for two nights, there will be between 20-40 people, maybe more, and young kids who attend day care (nothing wrong with this but I’m just cautious of the germs around a newborn). I’m heavily leaning towards not going as I’ll probably still be recovering, and together with the drive, germs and numerous family members who don’t give a shit about boundaries feels like a no no. Curious as to what you would do?

Self employed mums, do you put your nanny through your books?

A friend of mine put her nanny through her business because she said without the nanny she wouldn’t be able to work- so it’s a work essential.

I’m self employed my daughter goes to nursery but with my second up coming baby we may need help at the home so I can return to work quicker and this never crossed my mind to do this.

Thoughts?

Struggling SAHM

Anyone else’s partner/ husband come home from work complain about his job and just lays next to you and scrolls through Instagram for hours? Or is it just me? Idk it irritates me so much bc I stay home all day waiting for him and he just does this . Doesn’t really spend any quality time with me I’d be lucky to get a kiss maybe on a good day when everything went well at work . Idk it’s just giving bare minimum to me and I’m just tired of dealing with it but I have no choice rn. It’s just hard dealing with being pregnant taking care of myself all day and I still have to take care of myself when he gets home. Idk makes me feel lonely in the relationship

Advice about boundaries

I want my babies to be better than I ever was so it is just so important to me that they don’t grow up playing on phones or being worried about phones at all, eat healthy, are active, play with toys, use their imagination, blah blah etc. anyone else that also agrees with me, how do yall enforce the no phones? My baby is only 4 months old but obviously he will look at a phone screen if you put it in his face. And my boyfriends family knows how I feel about that and they still do it. Maybe it’s because he’s only 4 months so they think it doesn’t affect him??? Idk. Even if it doesn’t affect him, I want to make it clear now and establish the boundary now so that when he’s older, they know he is not to be on anyone’s phone. I have so many reasons for the no phones rule and it’s just very important to me. How do yall make it clear to family who doesn’t seem to take it seriously?

Fish fingers under 1?

Would you give / have you given your baby shop bought fish fingers under the age of 1? I know it shouldn’t be a first choice and would be better to make my own , but as there is less than 0.2g salt in a Birds Eye fish finger and the ingredients are relatively simple, I assume every so often is fine?

I sometimes make them for my 3 YO for a quick dinner and would be easier to not have to do something else for the baby!
