I want my babies to be better than I ever was so it is just so important to me that they don’t grow up playing on phones or being worried about phones at all, eat healthy, are active, play with toys, use their imagination, blah blah etc. anyone else that also agrees with me, how do yall enforce the no phones? My baby is only 4 months old but obviously he will look at a phone screen if you put it in his face. And my boyfriends family knows how I feel about that and they still do it. Maybe it’s because he’s only 4 months so they think it doesn’t affect him??? Idk. Even if it doesn’t affect him, I want to make it clear now and establish the boundary now so that when he’s older, they know he is not to be on anyone’s phone. I have so many reasons for the no phones rule and it’s just very important to me. How do yall make it clear to family who doesn’t seem to take it seriously?

👋 hey girl! its soo good to meet someone whose on the same page as me. I feel as though I'm always meeting and seeing young moms who just want to put screens in front of their babies. Research says you shouldn't introduce any kind of screen till a minimum of 2. I personally will not be introducing it at all till much much later. I will be homeschooling for multiple reasons. One being that all schools where we live give our small children a laptop and they stare at it all day long. Children where I live no longer get books, everything they do is on a laptop. We dont have a TV in our home. We have a laptop if it is needed. Then we have our phones. My 16 year old knows his phone gets put up when he comes home from school, and my husband and i model the behavior.

The people around us is more important than anything on the cell phone. As far as making it clear to others who may be around baby, at 4 months old it is really bad to put a phone in front of him. His brain is a sponge and that is absolutely WAY to much stimulation right now. Because its your boyfriends family doing it, you will have to have him make it clear to them that is a no no. If they still refuse to respect your boundary then honestly they dont get to have baby by themselves because they have proved you cannot trust them. My MIL will not be getting our baby by herself because of boundaries she doesn't respect with my 16 year old. Good luck momma!
There is a family lives two doors down from us and they have 3 kids, a boy, a girl and a baby. The girl cries a lot and it often sounds like she’s being neglected by her own parents. Like she would just let her cry. It happens a lot from evening to nighttime, and it would last between 5-10+ minutes. I once heard them from our garden when the little girl was crying and her mum was banging loudly on something a few times and shouted at her. I know they’re Muslim because she’s got the hijab on. It’s always just the little girl crying in distress.
Almost every night.
I do hear her laughing, but it’s so rare.
What do you think I should do?
I live in the UK btw. I thought about knocking to check on her but I don’t know if it’s safe to do? I have met the dad in the playground before with his older son and he sounded like he loves his son and his wife. It’s just the mum? Idk.

I saw a TikTok the other day where a mum was sharing her rules as a ‘strict’ parent.
her kids ONLY drink water, unless it’s a special occasion/meal, then they’re allowed juice. NEVER pop.
( her children get sugar through other things like fruit, snacks, etc. )
I know most mums allow their kids to drink water AND juice, then pop is what they’re only allowed during a special occasion/meal.
Im currently carrying my first child, so not just there yet. However, I plan on doing only water.
What are your rules?

She has been weaning perfectly, loves food, loves being messy, loves shoving everything in her mouth at once but recently it’s like she’s not interested in it. Is she bored of what i’m feeding her? Am i doing something wrong? any answers or advice would be amazing please as i feel like this is effecting her weight gain also 😕

Ladies, I'd like some advice on what you would do/think..so I've been in a long-term relationship with my partner, but I have noticed over the last few years that he's become more secretive with his second phone.
So much so that whenever I come into the room, he always put the phone straight to the homepage for me to not see what he was doing. I thought it was a one off but I've realised its actually become a pattern.
Earlier in our relationship, he told me the password to this phone and didn't mind me going into it (even though I only ever went on it in his presence), but the change in his behaviour with this phone came along the same time as when he changed the password.
I've tried to confront him about it but he always finds an excuse, and never tries to reassure me of his loyalty.
When I ask him about it, he says that I'm the one who's forgotten the password and that he hasn't changed it but is adamant about me not seeing or accessing the phone.
Am I wrong to assume he's been unfaithful, entertaining someone he doesn’t want me to know about?
(And for a slight context, a few years ago, he actually told me he set up a dating profile on the same phone to help a friend who isn't good at talking to women).

My 12 month old has low iron. Anyone have any iron rich plates/meals that you recommend? Anything from breakfast, lunch, or dinner is appreciated. Thank you. 🙏

My son is 8 months old and I've always felt super weird when we're with my in-laws, his grandparents. They are so loving and great with him, just I feel crazy overprotective and uncomfortable about everything. Even silly things like them sitting and reading a book with him, or building towers.
They're doing absolutely nothing wrong, I just feel like I can't relax and I just want him back all the time. Everything just makes me cringe for some reason.
I just don't understand my feelings. They are lovely people, I just feel very weird when he's with them.
This isn't the case with my parents however.
Anyone feel the same or can help me figure out this feeling?
