How soon after your sections did you go for a bath, I’ve read your not meant to soak the scar/wound in a bath but doesn’t say when you can 🫣 sometimes a shower just doesn’t cut it for “me time” 😅
Also how are people keep it dry, I have a slight overhang so looking for the best way to keep the scar dry without rubbing it with a towel like I want too!

6 weeks and I used a hair dryer and foot powder x

I had a bath a few days after, I just didn’t make it deep. The water was just to my thighs. And then I made a deep one once I got the all clear from the health visitor once she checked my scar and took the dressing off. I just patted myself dry on and around that area. Second c section for me and I’ve had nice clean, infection free scars x

My first C-section I didn’t have a bath until 12 weeks as I got a small infection at 6 weeks . My second C-section I had a bath at 6 weeks .
I used a fan to try mine to begin with then dabbing after a 1-2wks ish then just using a towel normally

I would wait 6 weeks. As far as the overhang, I have an apron belly and I just put a soft maxipad over it to protect it with a little cushion and it would absorb any leakage. I would be cautious about putting anything on your scar site.

Im 2 weeks postpartum and im really struggling, im not saying ive been a saint during our relationship because ive been far from it, I know my partner is struggling to create a bond with our daughter but I feel so alone, ive done every night feed, every day feed and everything else in-between, he does things such as washing bottles etc but i feel like im running on empty, im really struggling with an identity crisis and I feel like an imposter in my own body, it was also a traumatic birth which replays in my mind all day every day and im struggling with that, I do suffer with my mental health but I have never felt more alone then I do right in the moment, I think my partner feels neglected in some way and he believes that I dont make an effort like I used to but how can I do anything when I do feel and look like myself anymore, im honestly really struggling
